Probably one of the best hotels in Sesimbra. I left with no complaints. If you can, book a room with a balcony/sea view. I visited for 3 nights in August and only on Saturday did the pool start to feel a little crowded.

Rooms: The room was well equipped and clean. The fixtures are a little outdated, but functional. I didn’t mind them. If they remodeled the price would be much higher! So I was happy. I really loved the retro and brutalist vibe of the hotel. It was unique and beautiful. Book the sea view room. There was nothing like waking up to the sound of the waves crashing, or watching the sunset from your private balcony with a glass of wine.

Pool: Beautiful views and chairs in the sun/shade so you can take your pick. I also didn’t mind that the pool was 3m deep. Dont think they can do much more when there are rooms on the floor below! It was perfect to refresh yourself after sitting in the sun. There’s a bar and food service inside on the same level and an upper deck with more loungers and a hot tub if the pool chairs were full. I spent hours up there watching the sea.

Food: I ate breakfast everyday and had lunch at the roof bar one day. The food was always very good. I think it’s difficult to find a bad meal (with fish) in Sesimbra. Breakfast had a lovely assortment of foods and good coffee.

Service: From the moment I arrived everyone made me feel super welcome and cared for. They were all so kind and helpful. 10/10 staff!!

Parking: The parking wasn’t bad at all. I was a little bit nervous after reading other reviews about the garage. You do have to pay about €17 a day, but it’s a convenience that is worth the money in the small, narrow town of Sesimbra. My rental car was compact and I had no issues turning the corner of the lower level garage. They thought there was a space for me, but it ended up to have already been taken when I got down there. They still let me double park. A friendly bellhop met me down there and helped me - I gave him my keys so he could move it when a space opened up. There was no need to use the car during my stay in Sesimbra. When I left the car had been backed into a space for easy departure. THANK YOU!!

Town/walkability: You can get anywhere in town for about a 10 minute walk, usually less. It felt amazing to be able to walk downstairs and immediately be amongst the boardwalk and city center. Please visit the local market! About a 3 min walk. I rarely heard English being spoken in this town. A true gem. Visit Sesimbra and stay at the Sana for the best trip ever!

Excellent staff and service, clean rooms, diversified breakfast, amazing rooftop terrace and amazing location. Had so much fun and great stay with my collegues. I also enjoyed the sauna quite a lot and trained at the gym.

The receptionist Jacqueline was simply fantastic, room spotless, seemingly great housekeeping team. Unfortunately, you must pay 12 euros for the parking.
Ordered a glass of baileys, served a Carolans cream for the same price--perhaps a mistake.

Very well positioned hotel right by the beach. 1 minute walk from room and into the sea :) Breakfast was v good as was the service and the staff in the 6th floor cafe were great too. The pool was very warm and the cover kept it warm even in February. Our room was comfortable, well appointed but, Brits abroad, no kettle. The evening meal was very tasty, but small and relative to other Sesimbra restaurants expensive. Do pop round the corner, off to the left where the road goes uphill. On the right is a small restaurant, offering vegan and gluten free food too. Excellent choice for lunches. Enjoy this hotel, we did :)

Amazing experience! It is always a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Friendly staff, good food, excellent service.

It's the 4th time me and my wife came to Sana, we love the pool in the roof.

We recommend!

Great location… the room had a little balcony and was at the side so we didn’t have much traffic noise at all… the breakfast buffet was ok with a good selection and choice… the underground parking is convenient but has very tight, narrow and steep access ramps with poor visibility so beware!

Very nice hotel with a great location and the sea view rooms have an excellent view of the bay! In the rooftop there is a beautiful outdoor area to sit, sip and relax while watching the whole town. Only negative comment is about the balcony lights that can not be turned off until midnight...a bit annoying.

Stayed here last week for around 5 days, the Hotel is in perfect position overlooking the beach with a roof top swimming pool.
Although the hotel is absolutely brilliant in itself it is the staff that stand out as being unbeatable. The Portuguese staff are so friendly and helpful.
If you are thinking of going to Sesimbra it is a magic small fishing town on the coast and can be combined with a few days in Lisbon, but do stay at this hotel !!

We're a family of 3 adults and 2 children and stayed at Sana sesimbra for 4 nights with half board. We rarely write reviews, the exception being bad ones..eheheh.. So, we've been at several hotels in Portugal, Europe, Asia, USA and Africa and our stay at Sana Sesimbra has been one of our top 3 stays ever. The place is unique, in a superb location, with excellent service and the food is not 4 stars..it's 6 stars (check the pics). We felt at home and not in another 'strange' hotel. Every staff member went the extra mile in making sure our stay was impeccable. Also, the director, Mr. Victor Cópio personally comes and salutes every guest and hears about any issues they have...a rare approach in hotel management nowadays. We'll definitely return and are happy to strongly recommend a stay at Sana Sesimbra. We are already missing going to sleep hearing the gentle sound coming from the waves. Be sure to try it out, it will be memorable.

The very kind concierge called a taxi for us while we were stuck in Sesimbra after a tour and needed to get back to Lisbon, even though we were not hotel guests. We are so grateful!

Weekend trip to Sesimbra. Perfect hotel and location right on the beach. Very comfortable bed. Amazing view from the 5th floor. Would definitely return here. Great breakfast coffee! (Sad that the rooftop jacuzzi and hottubs were closed due to Covid)

Excellent hotel, staff & facilities. We were given a lovely room with a balcony & sea view. It was very nice to sit out at night on their veranda to enjoy the beautiful sunset & sea views whilst enjoying good food for our evening meal.

I just got dinner at the bar and I dare say it's the best food I have had in all of portugal. The hamburger is to die for. If I make it back to this area I'll most definitely be back for more grub.
