Lagoas de Santo André e da Sancha Nature Reserve

The impressive natural beach with lagoon here in Santo André is truly special. It is a huge nature reserve and there is enough space to find a quiet place to relax. Even directly on the sea, the beach is not overcrowded.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes.
Also in the Winter season an extraordinary place....

This is a great place to come. Totally off the tourist trail, mostly locals enjoying the warm waters of the lagoon (perfect if you have smaller children) or the gorgeous, clear and refreshing waters of the Atlantic. Plenty of space, even at the weekend.

Beautiful place. Especially the highly specialized and colourful plants are very special. Take a walk and have a look, although this spectacle won't last until july. Quiet beaches and a pittoresque lagune when tide is low. Good parking nearby. Only 2 small restaurants with good seafood menus. Public toilets available in the concrete building at the entrance of the beach. Absolutely recommendable.
