Viveiros do Atlântico

I am a tourist from Los Angeles born in Chicago and heritage from the Philippines. I've eaten a LOT of seafood. From hole in the walls to the bougie bougie. I didn't know what to expect. Friend recommended I check it out.

I'll just keep it simple by saying this is probably some of the best seafood I've had. Definitely the best prepared clams... So simple but so good. They also have the option for you to select your protein from the tank but it's best you let them pick for you.

This is my first trip to Portugal. The food in Porto is amazing. The seafood in this place is magical for your taste buds. If you are in Ericierca, have dinner here if you're into seafood.

The place is casual and brightly lit. They encourage you to just go caveman style with the food and eat with your fingers.

You WILL get messy eating but they give you a bib.

You WILL order the clams.
You WILL order their rice dish with shrimp (it looks like risotto but it's not) and kind of the texture between paella and gumbo...
The brave WILL put a few drops of their extremely spicy chili 🌶 oil. (it's like Thai/Indian hot( so don't put too much.

You WILL order the brown crab (it's this hallow crab with a sauce in the inside you can eat with, crackers, bread or just dump on everything lol.

Your STOMACH will be happy. Now on my journey to Lisbon. Thank you Vivieros do Atlantico!

Unplanned visit, but it was worth it. Pleasant atmosphere, the waiter Daniel spoke good English to help us out with seafood selection. Food was well presented and so tasty. We highly recommend this place.

Fantastic seafood, great spot for a family meal

I had a great lunch here - its a popular place so definitely make reservations as we noticed a long line forming outside. Unfortunately, I don't speak Portuguese (I travelled with Portuguese friends) but I'll try my best to describe the dishes we had. I highly recommend the Stone crab with dip - where the crab roe is mixed into a creamy dip. The crabs were really fresh and plump. The seafood rice is also amazing! Prices are reasonable for such great seafood.

The fresh seafood was delicious! Beautiful view and an amazing lunch. Service was also a plus. People were extremely friendly and helpful 👏🏻

Excellent seafood, portuguese Mariscada is a must!!! staff is efficient and they have a private parking. I didn't see any tourist, but locals know very well this place and it was complete. I strongly recomend this place but be there at noon unless you enjoy queuing.... I'll be back for sure.
