What a great place. The place was built to teach the young and the not so young. It teaches about the old professions and crafts and has farm animals for the little kids to enjoy (you can buy food to feed the animals for 1 euro). It also has a restaurant with great portuguese food.

The scenery is like a paradise on earth, with an aura reflecting ancient art, making it suitable for visiting with children.

A labyrinth your kids will love to get lost in. Discovered this place by accident on our way to the palace and it was really fascinating. Lots of historical setups of old Portugal with lots for the kids to do and a really reasonable gift shop with some great pottery items. Also seems to be free so added bonus. Big car park at the back

Located in Sobreiro, between Ericeira and Mafra, and just over 30 minutes from Lisbon, is a village that is a museum worth visiting. The entry is free, and lots of free parking options, you also can find there a restaurant, atelier and souvenir shop. You can also meet super friendly animals that you can feed if you want ❤.

We stumbled across this place and SO glad we did, so fun and playful. Really affordable pottery store on-site as well and the cafe has amazing chorizo bread. Had such a fun afternoon here!

Will recommend sparing some time and going to visit this place, which is something that you will never see the same and the story of this place is amazing... to have something like to where you can enjoy and share this experience with friends and family is amazing . Also, going back in time and understanding how things were done and comparing them with how everything is done these days is amazing.

Great place with super history! Free entrance, parking. Our kids enjoyed a lot - especially animals and opportunity to feed them. It was really interesting - especially for us (expats).

Free, and younger children will love to run around the site. It is an ethnicographic museum that displays some great artifacts of blacksmithing, seamstress tools, etc while also providing small playgrounds for children. The site also has animals to feed and a snack bar as well.

Definitely a place worthy of a visit during the weekend. From tools used in the past, to how grocery store was etc, a place to bring back childhood memories and show today's children how things were in the old days. They also have a restaurant, tables for picnicking.

A wonderfully well-kept reproduction of Portuguese rural traditions, child-sized and an invitation to explore.

It's a little village life experience for young generations, everything was handmade by Mr Jose Franco and his wife. It's like a trip on a time machine.very cute.

Luckily met Jose who made a beautiful rose and a goat for me. And also I like the bread they made there. It’s a fairytale town , could find something very special.
