Neat restaurant with a great view of the river. The octopus with the squid ink risotto was perfectly made. The octopus was nicely seared on the outside and tender on the inside. Oysters were also fresh, and the prawns were flavourful. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended. Super good food, been the best portugese restaurant we discovered so far! Come here if you want to find the freshest seafood. The flamed prawns and risotto octopus is to die for! Loved it! The lady boss there is simply amazing and accommodating, we are a group of 8 without reservation but she made sure we have a table and didnt go home hungry. Thanks for the great service, friendly too.

Amazing atmosphere. Right on the water by the bridge in Porto. Get the oysters and codfish pasta. Also get the Niepoort wine. Very thankful for our server Rafael. He was the best and deserves a raise!

The risotto with grilled octopus is incredibly delicious. The chef made the octopus legs crispy and kept the meat tender at the same time. The risotto absorbed the umami from sea and were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend it if you don’t mind the price is slightly higher than average Portuguese price.

One of the best local restaurants in the central and touristy area of Porto. The service is good, the views are amazing and the food and drinks are very tasty. I c an definitely recommend the octopus with the black risotto as a specialty and the port wines are quite tasty as well. Definitely worth a visit!

This was my first time in Portugal, and I decided to visit Porto. For my first meal, I came to Terra Nova because I saw all the great reviews, and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding for me, and my mother, the appetizers were delicious and the codfish and oysters were so fresh and tasty. We had the table close to the door, which had the best view of Ponte de Dom Luis bridge and the waterfront. We paired the meal with the Casa Tinto and the Casa Rosé, which were fabulous. We also had the chocolate caramel brownie with vanilla ice cream, which ended the night with the bang, sinfully good! 10 out of 10 recommend this restaurant to out of towners and visitors. Hope to be hoped to return to Porto and visit Terra Nova again!

Beautiful restaurant located along the river in Porto. Seating inside and outside - definitely check out the seating upstairs with a beautiful circle window overlooking the river. Food came out quickly and the servers were very kind. We ordered the codfish soup which was SO GOOD, the codfish with shoestring potatoes, olives and eggs which was also delicious! The oysters with seasonal fruit (limes) weren’t our cup of tea as they were too salty compared to the ones we’re used to in the USA. Great little spot for tapas or lunch!

An amazing location and wonderful terrace and the restaurant inside was perfect. Intimate and decorated in simple waterfront house style.

Food was really fresh. Shrimp Risotto was creamy and so good! The cod was flakey and had really good flavor. Appetizer had fresh avacados and impressive mushrooms on my toast.

Water, large draft beer, grilled prawns, risotto nero with octopus and coffee. Paid just €60 considering the risotto is their expensive dish and it’s absolutely worth it! Great food, good service, this place is saved in my “starred” section! 👍🏻

There was quite a wait and they don’t take names down so you literally have to stand outside the restaurant and wait for the table to become available. Fortunately, the wait was worth it as food was quite tasty. If you’re oyster lover, I definitely recommend you to have a try. Octopus with squid ink rice was yummy and my boyfriend who normally isn’t crazy about cod, enjoyed his dish quite a lot. We finished off with Portuguese crème brûlée which was very good. Red house wine was inexpensive but excellent.

Phenomenal food. Idk why the rating isn't close to a 5 star. Servers were great but the food is fantastic! Delicious cod pasta & prawn risotto! Price was about $30/pp with wine.

Can’t beat seafood right by the water! Another place we wanted to go had suddenly closed for weather reasons, we’re so glad we came here. Everything was plated beautifully and cooked wonderfully. The oyster appetizer was amazing, among our top 3 items we’ve had in the two weeks in Spain/Portugal.

The best seafood I ever had! We went there on August 2023. The location is also a great plus if you are looking for a nice view in Porto. I was very impressed by the meal presentation and the manager, Mimi, was super sympathetic.

Perfecto! My best meal in Portugal! ( Lisbon and Porto) octopus risotto is so fragrant, so delicious! The cod pasta as well! Great service as well. We are so glad that they accommodated our walked in!
