Quaint little family eatery. Got their set with garlic bread, veal and a water. They threw in a free glass of wine when they found out the country I'm from.

Other tables also really enjoyed their meals and I would try to come back if I could to try more of their items

Fantastic local cuisine of the Douro region. Likely one the best meals we had in Portugal. Husband and wife team, she is the chef and he handles service.

This was a last-minute stop for lunch after the place we wanted to go to was booked, but I'm happy we came! Really great steaks, amazing potatoes, and I had the goat with rice which was also yummy. The owner and staff are very friendly. We came when it was full and they gave us bread while we waited for a table, and took our orders early so we didn't have to wait too long. The wine is very good. Very cute and delicious restaurant :)

Oh my god!!!! Amazing home cooked food❤❤❤ if you wanna taste proper homemade meal by a Portuguese family come here and be ready to be blown away...first impression was already great when we came in, where the owner lady greated us so friendly and welcoming with perfect English! Then the wild boar stew came and the pork leg cooked by her mother. The pork leg was melting off the bones and I ate the wild boar stew in 5minutes!!! Yummm!!! See for yourself... We loved the choco mousse and the cacao cake aswell soo much that we missed to take a pic of the whole thing🙈 the wine recommendation was well fitting and tasty! don't miss eating here when you visit Duoro Valley, 5 stars is not enough! I'm giving it a 10! Also decor and ambient is pleasent, clean and nice, thank you 🙏

We really enjoyed Toca da Raposa a lot. Very local, freshly cooked, delicious Portuguese food! We went there in January; we drove almost an hour from Regua to Sao Salvador do Mundo (great views!), and stopped here for lunch on the way back (it was in our to-do list), which was very worth! The owner explained each of the items in the menu with love and passion (in English) We had the wild boar (marinated in Porto wine), and sausage selection. Very authentic experience, we definitely recommend this place, thank you!

Excellent experience and definitely worth a stop if you are nearby. Very good home-made cooking and pleasant English-speaking service. When the tomatoes are in season, go for them as starters! Otherwise, basically everything on the menu is really good. There is also an excellent wine list with local wines.

Amazing, unique and well made food. There are good options for vegetarians. Great service, pleasant atmosphere. A must if you're in the area!

We came on Sunday, when a lot of other options locally were closed. We had a great dinner. We had the pork cheeks stew and the ham hock, both of which were lovely. The waiter gave us a lot of information about the wine options too!

The best dining experience in the region by far. The waiter is very skilled and attentive and the dishes are truly amazing. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic food. Excellent wines! The tomato salad was the freshest and tastiest I have ever had. The chef came to see us after she had cooked our lunch, absolutely charming. Her son who was front of house was the best host. He even took us to the wine cellar after lunch to show us their selection.

If you are in the area then this place is definitely worth a visit!

I've had the best stew in my life in this restaurant. Exceptional wine list and local foods prepared in a gourmet way. Slightly priced above average for the region but so is the quality. 3 course meal with wine will set you back 30-40e. If your in the region this restaurant is worth your visit!

We got this place recommended from our hotel and took a chance to go here without a booking. The place was closed, but out taxi driver called the owner, who opened the restaurant for us and served us an amazing three course menu with matched wines.

We had an absolutely amazing experience that did not only include perfect Portuguese food, but also references to local wineries and guides about the area.

We can't wait to go back!

If you're looking to taste flavors that come from the ingredients rather than from the spices then this is the place for you.

Fantastic family restaurant with expertly made dishes that were really well cooked. We got the set meals and it was a great choice. The potato & collard green soup was hearty and piping hot, the pork was fall off the bone tender and the dessert was just the perfect sweetness.

They have a little section at the front of the restaurant that sell local wines and locally made jams which were amazing. When asked about it, the owner was nice enough to give us healthy samples. The flavors are so robust that you need just a little to go a long way.

You'll be happy if you get a chance to visit this lovely place!

We were very happy with our meal generous portions and good house wine and very good service, but we were only three tables and one kept complaining that they couldn't facetime with us talking!?? To send the waitress to complain to us was pretty dumb. Anyway we enjoyed our experiene. Highly recommended.

What an amazing meal and restaurant! Our guide from Catavino Tours, Ryan Opaz, brought us here and we were treated to a private lunch up on the restaurant's terrace. The food was lovely, the views were delightful, and we had such a relaxing time just chatting with Ryan and enjoying the food and wine. Make sure you include this stop in your itinerary when you are in the Douro Valley area.
