Amazing service - Marcos provides top performance boards. The fish I rented was brand new and came with great fins and a leash. Marcos and Pedro came and dropped the board off for me and picked it up, so I really appreciate the excellent customer service. They also recommended spots based on the swell. 5 stars - I’ll definitely rent from Marcos again! It’s the best rental service I’ve used by far.

They have an extensive range of boards to hire and the booking process is very straightforward. I booked a board for 2 days to collect from Carcavelos as wasn't sure how much time I'd have for surfing since I was on a short family break, and Marcos even offered to lend me his own board for a couple of hours on one of the days prior to my booking. Unfortunately the surf had dropped to practically nothing on the second day of hire and although Marcos suggested other beaches where there would be surf, since I was flying out in the afternoon, travelling to another beach wasn't an option. I messaged Marcos to say I therefore wouldn't be using the board, and he even refunded me for the day I didn't use it! Top service from a top guy!

I have rented boards in a few different countries and Marcos' operation is a BIG cut above the rest! Communication was super quick (I had a board 4hrs after first messaging) and the board and wetsuit were perfect. I thought that was goodbye until I dropped the board off in Jan, but Marcos went above & beyond to ensure I had good tips for where to surf for my skill level, and even helped out with a non-surfing matter. Will 100% use him again and couldn't recommend him highly enough. Obrigado Marcos!

This surfboard rental agency was excellent. There is a large selection of surfboards to choose from. I had an issue with the fin box of the board I rented and they fixed it quickly. They made sure I had wax, fins, a leash, and knew where to go. Drop off and pick up was smooth and easy. I would definitely rent from them again.

Best surfboard rental I’ve ever experienced! The selection of surfboards was amazing. My friend and I were able to choose boards that were almost identical to what we ride at home (mid-lengths) which is hard to come by. When we picked up the boards they were in basically new condition. The fins were sized accurately and the rental included wax. I was surprised to find the boards completely wax free (in the US the boards often come covered in wax, caked with sand and I always bring basecoat and a wax comb to redo it. I didn’t need it this time!). The communication with Marcos and his team was spot on. The flexibility of where to pick-up and drop-off the boards was fantastic as we changed our trip daily based on surf conditions and traveled throughout Portugal for the 2 weeks we had the boards. Marcos’ recommendations on location were great and we adjusted them based on our skill level and actual conditions once we arrived. I would rent from here again in a heart beat and wish board shops in the US would take a tip from Marco’s and PSR.

Next level service and convenience. Marcos met me at airport arrivals exit by the Starbucks and delivered a premium demo longboard with softracks. Mine was a mint HI4 9' longboard much nicer than anything I saw in the rental racks by the beach. Returning the board at the end of our trip was just as easy.

Best place to rent boards of all types, very easy going guys that are very helpful and let you switch boards whenever. Also they have storage space for your belonging, great for tourists who don't have a car!

Trusted the existing reviews, and was not disappointed. Marcos was incredibly communicative, helpful, and very friendly. Drop-off was very organised and he was right on time, even going out of his way to bring the board to the villa we were staying at. He was out of town for returning, but left clear instructions for how to return to his friend's board-shop. It was a pleasure renting a board from him, the whole experience was seamless. Marcos gave me tips and advice on where to go, and even allowed me to swap my board mid-week without charge. 100% recommend, and will use his service again.

Made our trip! So much easier than carrying our boards from home. Marcos was awesome. Dropped off our boards at the airport, picked them up at our Airbnb, texted us where and what time to surf. Got us the boards we wanted ….. a great deal. Worth every cent!

Renting equipment from Portugal Surf Rentals is incredibly easy. You can select from a huge number of different kinds and sizes, among which some very high end performance boards. Wetsuits and even roof racks can also be rented. Within a couple of hours, you will hear from Marcos to confirm where the boards should be delivered: at your place, hotel, hostel, or somewhere else. Marcos and Pedro are very nice guys with great knowledge of the local breaks so ask them for tips. Changing boards is also not a problem. Their service is very flexible and I could always contact them. The future of surf rentals. Will definitely consult them again next time in Portugal! 🤙🏻

Marcos is the man. The service was amazing. He met me at my car rental at the airport and I left it at a store he arranged in Peniche as my return flight was really early. The board was in A1 condition, came clean and ready for a fresh wax (bar provided) a bag for transport and travel racks for the car. I chose the wet suit option. Again it was in A1 condition and great quality.
He explained what happened if I dinged the board and I could tell he was genuine and I didn’t feel that I was going to get ripped off if I did ding it.
Avoid beater boards, dirty wax and knackered old wet suits at the beach rental places and use these Marcos. I got a Hypto and loved it for my time in Peniche.

Only giving 5 stars because there is no option for 6!!
If you are an experienced surfer that really want to enjoy the waves with a proper surfboard and don't want to pay to the flight companies crazy prices and risking to get your boards damaged that is your best option.
Not only got a great Phyzer, the guys were amazing, board came spotless, wax, fins (good fins), leash and case.
Only concern was were to go and they also helped me with this.

This is an incredible surfboard rental experience. I highly recommend. I was traveling solo and couldn't bring my own boards for several reasons. I was hesitant as it can be hard to find a quality board to rent, but this was practically better than having my own. When I arrived for pickup, I was treated well, and pick up was easy and straightforward. I got a sweet little pyzel to surf for a week with fins, leash, wax, and inside a boardbag plus a wetsuit. The board was in great condition as advertised. Drop off was great too and I would totally tell my friends to hit up Marcos for a fantastic rental!

I cannot recommend PSR highly enough. From the very first contact through to the return of our boards the customer service was exceptional. I hired a Pyzel Ghost for myself and a longboard for my partner, both of which were in pristine condition. Marcos was amazingly helpful, knowledgable and just an outright legend, dropping our boards to us in Nazare and providing me with ongoing tips on the best breaks throughout our 9 day hire. Honestly blown away, do yourself a favour, you wont be dissappointed!
