Family-run establishment with a modest ambiance offers the most delectable barbecue chicken (frango) in the city.

The proprietor continues to actively participate in the operations despite his advanced age.

Decades of experience grilling fish and chicken. No wonder there was a queue for weekday lunch.

Perfect. Muita obrigado.

Absolutely magical! Mom and pop shop serving delicious grilled fish and chicken at reasonable prices in a down to earth setting and style. One of my favorite meals on my trip and I send mg best wishes to the family who owns and operates this restaurant.

Anybody that wants to experience the best Portuguese homemade food should come here.
It is a small family owned business. When I arrived I was immediately invited to go into the kitchen. Grandma let me look into all cooking pots and choose what I wanted to eat as I don’t understand Portuguese. There was chicken and squid with salt-baked potatoes. I chose the squid. I love to eat squid, but this one was the BEST I ever tasted. So simple, but incredibly delicious!!!

I can’t say enough how good it was! Amazing friendly and hospitable family!

Really good (really) small restaurant in Sines. Don't be afraid to come in and ask for a spot (next to a total stranger). The food is simple (mostly excellent barbecued fish chicken or pork served with fries) and the service efficient and nice. You might have to wait to get in, but I would be patient and try out this very cool and typical place.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but it so cool to eat inside. It is very rural and as far as I know there is no menu. Our friend was taken in to the kitchen and looked in all the potts. The woman who cooked was very nice and lovely. We just ordered everything and got fresh fish, chicken and sausages. Everything felt so incredibly tasty. Amazing! The family working there was so welcoming and friendly.
You have to come here if you want to experience great Portuguese food and hospitality.

Come here!

A real authentic experience with a family run business. Super attentive, kind and caring it's the kind of place you feel like your grandparents are looking after you as they are so homely and caring.

Food - roast chicken was juicy, flavoursome and you can tell it's locally sourced and good quality.
Skewers were nice, chips really good, also had whiskey and wine. It doesn't look like the best place to go from the outside but it's got real character inside.

Food was excellent. We got what was left right before it closed. Chicken and fries, with white wine and dessert. Soooo good! Cute and authentic

If you travel to Sines and don't go to Adega de Sines, you haven't even been to Sines. The beauty in this family history and love that goes in to pleasing diners is unmeasurable. The simplicity in what they do should be shared and put into culinary text books. We thoroughly enjoyed eating chicken with our hands, drinking wine from a barrel and being offered dessert from a tray that your grandma wish she had the recipe for. This place is an institution and a must try when in Sines. We are in love. Thankyou for warming our hearts.

We were looking for dinner and accidentally stumbled upon this family owned place! 🖤 Very tasty dinner, authentic local atmosphere, super happy we found this place! Roasted chiken with best fries ever was approved by our kids, dorada with salad was simply AMAZING! Yet simple but best one I’ve tried! Definetly coming back when visiting Sines!

What a fantastic experience- felt like we were part of their family. We had a tour of the kitchen and what they were cooking that night. The fresh sardines on the grill - delicious and loved the bean stew. Good house wine and enjoyed the complimentary liquors. A wonderful experience with gorgeous owners

We were travelling from Faro to Lisbon and we randomly stopped in Sines to grab a bite. This place was a really nice surprise in the small village. It’s a family run restaurant with homemade typical food. They don’t have a fixed menu, it varies every night. We had the javali com batatas and the frango assado com batatas fritas. The portions were generous and the staff was incredibly nice. At some point in the night the cook came to greet us and make sure everything was good. The desserts were really nice also. Special highlight for the coffee cake, which had a special grandma touch. I loved it so much that I almost wanted to buy the whole cake.
The only negative part was that it was mid-December and they keep the door open and there’s no heat, so it was pretty cold inside.

Delicious authentic Portuguese food in a small unassuming restaurant. The woman showed my mom into the kitchen to show her the food options (pork, fish and chicken). We got the vegetable soup and salad to start (both delicious) but the highlights were the chicken and freshly caught fish (I’m talking same day). Ask for the sauce as well, spicy but good. Definitely recommend!

Woow, before I entered the place I didn't know what to expect (haven't read the reviews). It was awesome. The Place was really busy during the dinner time, I had to wait but It was worth it. Had a roasted chicken, bear and desert. I still dream about that desert. I need a recipe.
