Restaurante Nova Era

We arrived at around 15:00 to Oporto and every restaurant around our accomodation was closed. However, this restaurant was open and to our surprise, the food was amazing! Very good at a very good price. We ordered a dish of clams and rice with octopus. Both dishes were really tasty.

For me simply the best restaurant in Porto! Everything from entrance to desert is perfection. I would recommend 100% !

If u r looking for local place in this district , this is the one. Atmosphere is great, waiters are nice & friendly, local visiters are very communicative with you (could wink at you) food is good (juicy and lush). Prices depend on a dish you chose (veal with potatoes, rice & green bean = 9 euro, huge plate of clams =8-9 euro , octopus = 14-15 euro, wine 0.37 =4-6 euro).

Perfect place for a dinner. The food was tasty and the atmosphere is great as well. Very cheap comparing to other restaurants in Porto

The best octopus I've ever tried. Portions are realy big (we couldn't eat the whole plate). On the picture is dish "octopus filet" for two.

Great home made style food with pretty nice price.
Had some clams and steaks with rice & black beans. All dishes were very good and most had good portions. Also the seafood rice in a pot was very good. Must try their Pripiri which was not too spicy and added nice flavor to anything.
Planning to come back here once more before leaving the town.

Great place for everyone but specially for tourists as they serve food before dinner time. Everything else around was closed or not serving any food before 19.

The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! They have vegan options too. I think half my good experience was the friendliness and good attitude from the servers/waiters.

Cool restaurant with excellent Portuguese cuisine. The portions are huge, but there is an opportunity to order half a dish, believe me, this is more than enough for one person, and even for two people, if not very hungry. Good selection of inexpensive wine. Service at a good level, speak English. Prices below average. The place does not look like a tourist, and I would like it to remain so.

Great quality to price ratio, fine grilled pork and fish, really large portions. The staff is friendly and serves quickly. Beware of French pudding though :D
