Quinta do Quetzal

We had a lovely wine tasting and lunch at Quetzal. The dishes are amazing and the wines even better. Bought a few boxes to bring home. Recommended!

What a spectacular vineyard and superb restaurant. All organic farm to table dishes cooked perfectly served in a spectacular environment and great view.

The people are super super friendly and nice , and they explained every dish in detail and made vine pairing recommendations. Great customer service.

We are so so delighted that we went and we for sure will go again.

One of the best experiences I've had. We took the taste menu and was absolutely amazing. Was served with tailored wine for the tour of food. All produced by Quetzal. Totally recommended for a special meal retreat.

I don't normally write reviews, but for this I will make an exception. The place is more industrial/touristy/fancy/English-focused than anything in the area, a big red flag when you're trying to experience local culture, but the food is so freaking good we went back over and over. I started ordering things I don't even like and they were spectacular. The chef is an artisan. Wait staff are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'll take the 13 hour flight back to Portugal just to have sunset dinner and wine on their balcony.
Set your expectations low though.. it'll make it taste even better.

This winery was absolutely stunning! Through a tiny little village off the highway and up into the hillside.. we were unfortunately not able to make it on a tour day but even the small “snacks” tasting menu for lunch was incredible and a huge portion for one person. We split 3 ways with just another appetizer!

We came to Quinta do Quetzal for a tasting, and we were not disappointed. We booked a reservation by phone (in English) on the same day. Had a fantastically informative tour by Gonçalo - learned about viticulture and their green approaches to wine making. Beautiful tasting/dining room overlooking the three pines on their label. Tasting of four wines recommended. Obrigada, Gonçalo!

If you are in the area of this place, do yourself a favour and go eat here. You will be hard pressed to have a bad meal. The chef Joao excells himself with every dish. We ate all the starters and some of the main dishes - all were so good - not one stood out as a favourite because each dish was beautiful on its own. We had a bottle of bubbles which was made with Anton Vaz, irinto and perdume. Dry yet complementary to the dishes we had.
The dessert cloofooti was delicate and robust at the same time as well as the pumpkin dessert - that was OMG moment. Do try the dessert wine which is golden rich in colour yet not sweet and not dry - somehow just right.

One of the best ‘wine/restaurant experiences’ I have discovered in Portugal. The restaurant has a really relaxed vibe and the views are spectacular. The food and wine were both excellent! Will definitely return!

Elegant but not snobbish. Excellent staff, superb food in the middle of one of the most beautiful vineyard areas of the Alentejo. Both the House White and House Tinto are excellent.

Amazing winery off the beaten path. They explained the wines brought us charcuterie with our tasting and what an amazing view.

Probably the best spot in Beja district. Top quality food. Absolute silence. Overwhelming vineyard view.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view. Wines are good and food is ok on the restaurant. There is a museum underneath the restaurant. At the time of visit last year they had a very modern in my opinion disturbing exposition but great experience in general. Would recommend leaving more indications on where to turn to get to the restaurant as I ended up on the wine production warehouse, but nothing that disturbed our visit.

Best sommelier ever, fantastic wines, great food... the wine pairing lunch is a must. Beautiful setting!

Today I visited this wine farm together with my friend Annie. We had an amazing experience. We loved every wine we tried and we tried a lot. The staff was extremely kind and the food.. Oh the food is amazing!! We had a cheese and meat platter and also the lamb as a main course. Best lamb I ever had, no jokes. So so tasteful. Would love to come back here.

This is a special place. There is an amazing and high quality art space that currently is showing (we think) the owners collection of cartoon based art. Think Disney meeting Clockwork Orange. The staff were kind and respectful and the food delicious. A great location and the melody of frogs croaking after sunset serene. Well worth a visit.

What can I add more about this place? This place is absolutely fantastic. The one of the best places to eat and drink I've ever visited in the world. The view, service, and food (unexpectedly,-- because honestly I didn't have much expectation necessarily!).... nothing to complain.

Had an excellent and unique experience here. Took the wine tour with four tastes. Was not expecting the quality of the food and the wine paired was very good. Two members of my group had diet restrictions, and they were very accommodating. I will be back, no doubt. My only disappointment was that their restaurant was open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.
