Difficult to say what was the best dish, lagartos de porco Preto, chicken in the oven or choco frito. Each was better that the other. Amazing place second time one year apart and still wow wow food

We were ready for lunch on our bike ride from Setebul. We just pulled in and they took us in without any reservations on a very busy Saturday afternoon. The meal was incredible.

One thing is sure: Tia rosa is all about duck and They are great at what They are doing. You have to get Portuguese cheese for starter and some sausage. Duck is their most popular dish but actually we ordered squid and beef plus side dish that they serve with duck: arroz de cabidela com pato (blood rice with duck) and OH MY GOD it was the BEST! Definitely to repeat! Get “bolo bolacha” for desert

Famous for the duck but not only, the various lamb dishes are excellent too the same can be said for the black pig. Alentejo food at it's best. Don't expected fancy decor, it's all about the quality of the food, this is the real Portugal

Excellent food and incredible value for money. The duck is the speciality so if you’re a first time customer- this is the dish to get. Served with rice cooked in the juices of the roasted duck which is just so extreme and delicious. Washed down with a couple of beers and you have the perfect lunch.

Excellent duck! And the sausage starter was delicious!! We are coming back tomorrow night. Our waiter was wonderful too, answered all of our annoying question!

To begin with our waiter Pedro was amazing! He really made a difference in making us enjoy even more the super delicious food we had. The Duck was cooked to Perfection! Even the breast was moist and full of flavour. The roasted onions potatoes and offal rice plus a simple salad on the side were the perfect garnish!

I loved it! Crispy duck! Comes with delicious potatoes and some rice dish...not sure what's in it, but has a really good rich flavour. Sangria hits the spot aswell. A bit of a wait for a table, but deffo worth it. Felt like a warm hug of home cooking ( from the Portuguese mom I never had). Also....1/2 duck is enough for 2 people and some.

We recently cycled from Lisbon to the Algarve and the company we cycled with (Cycling Rentals - century cycles) recommended this as a lunch stop. They recommended the duck rice which is a speciality. As we were cycling 70km we didn’t go mad so we had the quarter duck and rice for 1 but shared it. There was plenty of food for the two of us! The rice was so unusual, it was baked and had a crust on top. The whole thing was delicious! The place was packed and it was only a Monday!

We went back twice the service was outstanding our waiter he was so friendly, welcoming and the food was delicious.

The restaurant was empty when we entered at 7:30. An hour later, the huge restaurant was full. Local game was the speciality, specially duck. We also ordered the special beef dish and it was stellar. The environment was warm and welcoming, it seemed like a good combination of locals and folks passing through. The restaurant seemed like a destination. Overall, great value, service and food.

Tia Rosa is a traditional Portuguese Cuisine Restaurant where the Star Dish is the Duck!

Excellent choice for a lunch stop. Lots of meat and fish dishes, although most are better shared with a group. Good value.
