Hands down the best traditional Portuguese around, however for such a small menu the food should've been better (heavy on grease and lack of seasoning). Great wine offer. Great prices for the standard they uphold.
Will definitely come back. It's totally worth the stop or detour.

We were actually impressed. We didn’t expect such a good restaurant so far away from the main tourist spots. We had fabulous bacalao for to, grilled Brazilian meet and beef in port sauce. The service was excellent and the atmosphere on spot. Strongly recommended

We wandered into this restaurant and got seated via sheer luck. The ambience was perfect. The food might’ve been the best we had in Portugal and the wine recommendations and selections were phenomenal on top of that our server worked very well with us. Just a great experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Amazing food, the restaurant has won the michelin stars in 2019 / 20 / 21 and it has obviously deserved them, we ate as entree, Presunto, Pataniscas and Rujões, as the main dish Bacalhao com Broa and desert was a Morgado cake with coffee. The wine selection is extensive and the prices range is great. Everything was absolutely wonderful, the staff was super friendly and the restaurant decor and environment is great. Will come back and will recommend it to everyone I know around the area looking for great food.

It is a wonderfull hidden treasure. A pearl hidden in a simple place. The menu is a surprise, all kinds of different dishes, not the ordenary you find every where. Pleanty of choise also for the vegetarian. The choise of good wines is infinite. We had a good port wine to start, with bread and olive oil. A beautiful white sangria to acompany the rosbife and a tournedos. Desert farófias that melt in your mouth and the 3 pipos chocolat mouse with almond slices and whiped cream, delicious!! Marco was the very pleasant young waiter who made our evening out even more perfect with the good table service he gave.Thank you very much!

Lovely experience! Traditional Portuguese food done very well with great wines and lovely staff. On top of that reasonably priced. If your in the area a must visit. Just remember to book in advance

The best restaurant to try autentique Portuguese food in this part of the country. Ask for a table close to the fire place during the cold months of winter.

This was a very pleasant surprise. We went for dinner after a recommendation from a local. No details were given so we didn't know what to expect other than it would be at least an OK restaurant.
Turned out to be one of the best places I've eaten in the recent past. Food is genuinely good, service is top notch and the wine list just wonderful.

The desserts are out of this world! The "Queijo da Serra" pudding is entirely mind-blowing.
