Amazing lunch. Homemade chips were great. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned exactly right. Dessert and cafe after was spot on. No complaints whatsoever. Would recommend to anyone.

Even better than expected!! It can be a bit busy, but it’s worth the wait!! Enjoyed an Imperial outside in the sun while waiting in a nice little street with the local life passing by. Great meat, great atmosphere and great service!!! I recommend the black pork, but will be back to try the beef as well as it looked and smelled great as it passed by 😂😂

I've been here a couple of time when passing through Beja. Both times I was very well taken care of. The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and the prices are very honest. Great for trying typical food of the region.

A superb small restaurant close by the castle. It’s cosy and uncomplicated - specialising in beef and pork. The beef was excellent - beautifully cooked, succulent, tender and extremely tasty. A local dessert and coffee to finish rounded off the meal nicely. Staff were happy to translate and explain the Portuguese menu and service was prompt. Try it - you won’t be disappointed!

Nice food, very competent and fast!
In a day that all the others just told me they were full at Dom Dinis they took my number and called me when 20 minutes later they had a vacancy.

We had the mixed pork meat grilled with fries and migas. Very large portion, the one portion size, is enough for 2 person.
The attendants are friendly, r service was good

Top quality meat and fast service. I really enjoyed the porco preto that was recommended. Every serving of meat comes with complimentary migas and potatos/chips. We had couverts but I'll probably skip those to save space for dessert next time.

An unforgettable dining experience thanks to the lovely Nelson, who treated us like royalty, bringing extra drinks for us to try and attending to our every need, as well as being a lot of fun! Food was delicious and they were very accommodating to create a vegan dish for someone in our party.

Great experience! Service food and ambience all perfect. We had 6 months aged entrecote steak and pork secretos which were both superb. The price for this lovely local restaurant was good too.

On a day trip to Beja from Lisbon. This restaurant was between a choice of 3. When the local undertakers were waiting for this place to open we knew it must be good. The food beef and black pig didnt disappoint. Table of 4 people enjoyed the meat so much we ordered more. Staff excellent and friendly. Wine excellent. No need to eat anymore food for the rest of the day after coming here. Declan - Ireland

Fantastic steak, expertly cooked over hot coals. First, you get to choose your steak from the chilled display. The end result is sublime. Booking and early arrival are essential since it fills up quickly with locals.

Our waiter introduced us to their display case full of various cuts of beef and pork to let us know what they served. We chose a combination of beef and pork which came with chips and migas, something between stuffing and Texas toast, as a meal for 2. It was fantastic. The meat was grilled to perfection over a charcoal fire in the front of the restaurant.

Our first taste of the famous "black pig" of Alentejo. We learned that black pig is a separate type of pork, raised and fed differently than other pigs. At first, I thought we had been mistakenly served beef. Our waiter kindly explained the difference. It was so tasty! I want it again! The restaurant is great.
