Rewayat Restaurant Ganish Hunza

Excellent. Good clean restaurant with attentive staff. The whole of the gilgit province has a large population of agha Khani population. Unfortunately as Sunni Muslims we are unable to eat the meet slaughtered by an Ismaili. The entire staff of rewayat is from Islamabad. Food was extremely nice. Ordered 8 chicken seekh kebabs which were soft and juicy and chicken handi and drinks and tea. The bill came to 5500 rupees. Enjoyable evening with good old Pakistani songs in the background.

Due to its location, nearly all the tourists coaches stop here to eat. It means at times they get people in the batches say 50-100 people in one go . Its not easy to manage such an influx.

When I arrived, nearly 4 big tables with 25-30 people each were waiting for their orders. We were just 3 and ordered a chicken karahi. I spoke to the manager who was extremely accommodating hence my order arrived very quickly. I wa extremely happy with the quick service.

Cooked.

They have a variety of Pakistani dishes. We tried fish fingers, Chicken Dhaka, Reshmi Kababs and Handi, it was all really good and served hot. They have a variety of naans (bread) and all were well baked and tasty. The staff is very welcoming. Open sitting is also available. Washrooms need a bit cleaning but I’d put that more on the users. Wifi was not available. The place is new and indoor sitting was also neat and clean. I’ve also added pictures of their menu. As of now they don’t have any local hunza cuisines. Prices were reasonable considering the tourist season and location.

A great addition in Hunza.

Great new addition to the food options in Hunza (Ganish Village nr Karimabad). Perfect location with views of numerous snow capped peaks. Indoor seating available as well as outdoors. Food can be seen being cooked. Good food choice albeit some errors on the menu especially in the fish section. Couple of fish dishes are listed as having Cod as the fish being served. However, none of the waiters or the supervisor knew anything about a fish called Cod. According to them it means that the fish being cooked is "coated". Rather a shame as personally we love cod and were looking forward to having it in Pakistan if possible! Nevertheless, whatever fish was served was beautifully cooked and perfectly seasoned! Even the simple plate of fries was very tasteful with light coat of seasoning! Could have just eaten that on its on.
The Lahori fish albeit not cod was lovely. Chicken Chow mein was good too. Chicken with Cashew nuts was rather disappointing and bland considering all other dishes were very good. Coffee was available - one style only, we were told, Cappuccino. However, what we were served was far from being a cappuccino and was more a doodh pati style coffee.
Overall we loved our visit to Rewayat Hunza, both food and location. The staff were also courteous. Well worth a try.

If you want some good desi taste in hunza then i would recommended rewayat will be there for you.

Fantastically good taste, very clean and good environment. Really it was an enjoyable experience after returning from Khanjraab.

Rewayat is the best option for food in hunza. The access is easy. Parking is easily available. Both indoor and outdoor dine-in options are available.

You can find desi breakfast over there .

Food was amazing, we had the mega platter with biryani and it says it’s for 5-6 people but we were 11 and we couldn’t finish it. BBQ items were really nice and so much variety. Service was good and place is clean.

We also had traditional Pakistani breakfast (poori, channay etc) the next day which was nice as well.

Overall will highly recommend the Resteraunt for its good and service.

We ordered mix platter with kabli pulao, tawa magz, sweet lassi and mint juice. Everything was amazing and tasty specially the mix platter. Must recommend for grill food.

A really nice restaurant in Hunza. Nice view from restaurant. Nice atmosphere with eye catching view of hills. Restaurant is really nice, staff is also really Cooperative. Comparatively to other restaurants this restaurant is a little costly but comparing luxury to others this is the luxurious restaurant and the food is also awesome and their taste is finger licking. I have eaten breakfast from there many times. The breakfast platter is really affordable and is enough for one person to eat and couldn't get hungry until next meal.

Had a wonderful dinner experience at rewayat.. the food was fresh, accurately recommended according to our taste preferences.. polite and humble staff.. in the end ambiance and food quality was awesome.. a little expensive but absolute value for money.. enjoyed a lot..!
