Attock Fort is a must-visit historical place from where you get an awesome view of the Indus and Kabul Rivers meeting. If you're into old stuff, it's a great spot to visit.
However, keep in mind that you need permission from the Army to visit.

Good to see this historical Fort but publicly not allowed to visit. Government should arrange visits of citizens of Pakistan at least.

Historical Place and Visiting Place..
Over 70 tourists hailing from different walks of life enjoyed a day-long safari train tour to Attock Khurd.

A special band played music to welcome the guests at the platform of historic Peshawar Cantonment Railway Station. The picnickers were presented bouquets on arrival.Officials of the Pakistan Railways and the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) welcomed the tourists.

Attock Khurd, located in Attock district of Punjab, houses the historical Attock Fort built by the Mughal King Akbar in 1581. Bahram ki Baradari is another Mughal-era monument situated at the ridge of mountains on the southern side of the Grand Trunk Road near Attock Khurd.

“We provided tourists with a unique opportunity to avail an outing and at the same time we want to apprise them of the rich heritage and tourist spots of our country,” an official of the TCKP told media as the decorated train started chugging towards the historic Attock Khurd.

From Attock bridge you can see two rivers the River Kabul and the River Indus. Where they both are combining together and give a breath taking view . The bridge located in Khaiber Phaktun Khawa and at the edge of Attock . If you like natural beauty then this is place you must have to visit . It is a very great time to be in Attock . At some distance from bridge there is a Attock Fort so, you may make a visit .

Attock, on the eastern bank of the Indus, is of key importance as it is here that the Indus is crossed by the military and trade route down through the Khyber Pass. The fort was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1581 to support his own wars in Afghanistan. It was held by the Sikhs in the 19th century, they had taken it from the Afghans in 1813. The Sikhs yielded it to the British in 1849. The view shows the fort, dramatically poised over the Indus just south of the point where the Kabul river enters it, with the British-built bridge of boats in the distance. The bridge of boats was a vital artery for British forces during all their campaigns in the region until they constructed an iron bridge in 1883. On the bank opposite Attock is the village of Khairabad.
