Ginga Cafe

Place consists of indoor and outdoor dining. Indoor dining has beautiful furniture and styling, but is not recommended for group of 3 or more. Outdoor dining is very spacious and windy during our stay. Bathroom also has bidet :)

As for the food, we ordered carbonara, wagyu cubes, and bbq pork belly. Bbq pork belly is soft and delicious. Carbonara was creamy and delicious. The wagyu cubes were not as melts in the mouth that we have expected, but it's okay for the price. The mashed potatoes were creamy as well. We wished that both wagyu cubes and mashed potatoes had a little more salt. Marshmallow Mint Latte tastes good and would recommend.

The only cozy place in Lobo Batangas. Staff are customer friendly. Food is good

Very nice and beautiful place. Great food and big servings. The kids especially liked the carbonara and sinigang na bangus. I loved the chicken biryani and salmon.

Had lunch with my family including kids so need to be aware lang of the lyrics of the background music.

A new restaurant that was not here the last time we visited down this way. Great atmosphere and very friendly accomodating staff. The food was excellent too.

Nice and cozy place. Love the vibe and food was good.
Also love the live singer performance. Well recommended.

Ginga cafe is located in Lobo about 500 meters after the bridge going out of the town center. There aren't that many dining options in Lobo and Ginga is one of the better ones that have made an effort in elevating the dining experience in this beach-side town. Unassuming exterior with a pleasant interior. They also offer kurimi milk tea and some Japanese food like takoyaki. Surprisingly they have chicken biryani and beef kebabs

Interior at this place is very nice. The resto offers variety of dishes and drinks at a budget friendly price. We tried the dark mocha and vanilla frappe with lemon cake, the cake was to sour, too much lemon I think. They also have live bands on the weekends. Will prolly go back the next time I’m in Lobo, Batangas.

Had no more space indoors so we had to stay outside where it was super hot! We came at 1 pm. Most of the cold drinks we wanted were unavailable. The cafe americano was sweetened. The food was plated well but tasted meh. To be fair, we only ordered their sizzling menu as we were hungry and were told that these would be fastest. Could be better. Staff were very nice but I could sense were disorganized because they made some mistakes in some of the orders. Hope you guys improve!

Ok to be honest we really want to like this cafe, because it looks nice and they have variety of menu but a little mishap at the end of our visit and THEN my husband ended up got sick the day after, we changed our opinion and decided to write a review.
We came to this cafe from Lobo beach because it looks nice from the outside and we decided to stop. Many of the items from the menu wasn’t available that night. They didn’t have salad menu, kebab also not available, salmon not available. So then we settled with gyoza and mushroom soup for starter, and I ordered grilled tuna belly and my husband picked herbed roast chicken. We both had smoothie for drinks. From the menu the herbed roast chicken priced for 385. After we placed our order, the waitress came back and she explained that the chicken is a “bundle” means comes with rice and a pitcher of ice tea. We then said “ok, it’s fine”. I don’t know if we missed the explanation or anything but I’m sure she didn’t say anything about the price different. We’re both foreigner, I’m Indonesian who looks like Filipino so sometimes everything is lost in translation. So anyway, mushroom soup was good, gyoza is okay, my grilled tuna belly also good it would be better if they scaling the fish so it’s nicer to eat, the smoothies also good and fresh although it’s a bit too sweet for us. When the chicken came, it was a whole small chicken that already carved (but they really need to learn how to carve a chicken). It was also a bit dry but it was okay, we were hungry so we just ate what we can managed. We were thinking it’s cheap for 385 comes with tea and big bowl of rice that we couldn’t finish.
However, when the bill came we were shocked because it says 799 (good for 4 people) when the menu clearly said 385. We were voicing this concern but the waitress said they have new menu that still in printing, but the different menu was already put in the system bla bla. I know 385 it’s a little too cheap for a whole chicken, but how would we know?? This is not good conduct for a restaurant. You can’t put something on the menu then serve different thing and charge it more expensive on the bill and expect customers would be ok with that. Don’t serve something that is not in the menu yet! If you want to change the menu make it bundle, package, combo or anything change your menu first. Put a white sticker on old price and write a new price. Isn’t so hard is it??

Bad food and bad service

Not a child friendly restaurant. One of the staff asks us kung pd tanggalin or imove stroller ni baby kc sobrang sikip nung place. Di din inaadjust aircon khit mainit na kc madaming tao. And worst na late iserved ung food nmin kc they forgot about it. And mukhang nirush kc nga late may part na hilaw ung food. Not a happy place in lobo.
