Batac Public Market

The cleanest public market in all of Ilocos. Here you can find a lot of vegetables directly sold by farmers. You can also haggle with prices if you're a regular or if you buy in large quantities. There are vendors who sell dry good items as well as snacks and soft drinks. Very airy and easily accessed on all sides. Meat Market is the cleanest I've seen as well as the fish market. Very limited on seafood selection.

This market is huge! Almost an acre, hahaha!!!You can see the wet section on the other side or back side and the farmer's market in front. Upon entrance at the back of the market you will be passing the Batac Police Station. In front of the station is a pay parking lot. You can park your car, van, truck or bus while shopping. Its hard to find a parking slot in front of the wet market specially if its market day. Market day is when most farmers and local folks flock to sell and buy necessities and is also the busiest days of the week. Market days in Batac are Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Upon entrance at the back you will be met by the coconut vendors then at the right side are the fish vendors. Proceed inside and you can see the beef section the proceed farther you will find the pork section and chicken section which are all fresh from the slaughter house. You can choose from a wide variety of fishes and meats like the famous Batac longganisa and Batac bagnet. On the left side is the dry section. You can buy vegetables, processed foods like hotdogs and french fries, cups, paper plates, fruits, etc. At the front of the market, you can find old women and men, selling their backyard produces. It is hard to find the freshest produce because all of them sells their fresh pick of the day. Sometimes if your lucky you can find rare fruits and plants being sold. You can also find fruits, dried fish, plastic utensils, cups, paper plates, cake ingredients, aluminum pans, chichacorn, banana chips, kamote chips, etc. At the middle portion you can find kakanin, Batac empanada, soups, pancit, fried chicken, breads, dudul, tupig, cassava suman, white corn, sweet corn, purple corn ( fresh and cooked), peanuts ( fresh and cooked).

Everything you need is in here. From dry goods, meat, and etc.

The most spacious & cleanest public market I've been to in Ilocos Norte.

This is the place where you can buy good quality vegetables at affordable price. You can also buy Bagnet and Longganisa, the Ilocano pride delicacies. The best time to go here is around 6-8am and 4-6pm. Don't forget to. Don't forget to buy the delicious Miki of Batac when you go in this market place.

The largest ive seen, not because im from here but been to several markets before and this one is still the largest. Plenty of open spaces u can rent and very clean
