Texas Joe's House of Ribs

I've gone to this place a total of 2 times, once last year for late lunch, dinner this time for my fiancée's birthday.

The service is fairly average for what it is. Quite the long waiting time for most things, but it might be due to the fact that the first time we went here, it was at the end of the lunch rush. We went a little bit later this year, and we had better service. But overall, there was a general improvement of service from last year.

The steak was fantastic! They get it just right if you get it in medium-well. Not too raw, not too dry. Nice and juicy, but not too overcooked. The salmon was similarly terrific! It was way smaller last year, but we were given a bigger portion of salmon this year.

The sides are a hit or miss. The Corn Tortilla Soup is delicious! Avoid the baked potato. It's literally just a normal baked potato with no butter or ANY kind of toppings. Other restaurants and steakhouses have way better baked potatoes that actually taste good and aren't this basic. Choose a better side instead.

To summarize everything, definite improvements from last years experience to this year, in all aspects. From food to the service, it got so much better. For the price, it's a pretty darn good steak in the Philippines. Will come back if we're ever in Subic Bay again!

My favorite on their menu is their ribeye and baby back ribs. Sides are okay. It was a busy day when my family went there for lunch. Food took a while but Ive got no complaints.

The best ribs we've had in a long time. We had the Humongous and baby back. You won't be disappointed. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. Be sure to dine here when you're in Subic. Big parking.

They have the best cornbread ever 😋 in terms of service and atmosphere they do very well. It's what you pay for. I have never had a bad experience so far.

The ribs can be improved, more tender, maybe.

We came in for a late lunch when the lunch crowd was already gone, so we were able to get seated immediately. Parking area in front was also spacious. Medium rare steak was very tender and flavorful. Loved everything we ordered. I especially loved their refillable coffee. (second cup was a bit bland though) Servers are attentive. Free wifi.

This was great top down! More western than most places in the US. Food, service could not be better.

Food is a solid 10/10 for me. Budget would be around 500 per head. They have lunch meals that come with sides if you are on a budget.

Atmosphere was alright. Didn't really have any expectations coming into the place. The outside area seems great for dinner and drinks.

Their ribs are consistent on flavor and tenderness. They check on you if you're happy with your ribs. Their combos serving size is good for 2 people.

Nothing beats dining here. The price is justified by the quality of the food and the service. The location is great for walking as well, great view outside. The interior of the resto is spacious.

Pardon the lack of pictures, we were too busy eating 😁 As far as pork ribs are concerned, this is the best we've had in the Philippines (Chili's SM Clark is 2nd). For a family of 5, we ordered the Humongous with 4 sides. It was indeed, finger-licking good 👍This is a large meal, you may need to take some home.

The old western movies playing there add to the ambiance and are pretty cool. I like the cowboy/cowgirl style uniforms of the staff. It's a big place that makes you feel like you're somewhere in Texas.

It's usually busy and there sometimes can be a wait. The staff seem to be running a well-oiled machine and can accommodate many customers. If you're in Subic, definitely add Texas Joe's to the list!

The Rib Sampler was really good! 👍🏼👍🏼 Food is sought after because they always have many customers.
Staff were warm, courteous, attentive, and quick on their feet. Worth coming back to.
Be ready though to have difficulty finding parking.

Celebrating Father's Day in advance, we decided to go to Subic Freeport for Duty Free shopping and some serious culinary adventure.
Texas Joe's has been an established institution in Subic serving Ribs and Steaks for as long as I can remember and by far the most delicious ribs I'be tasted in the Philippines.
Don't be scared by their prices as the food tastes excellent and portions are huge.
For this trip we ordered the Full Rack Smoked Ribs, Beef Brisket and Onion Loaf.
The meat comes with garlicky beans and 2 side dishes which you can choose from their menu. We ordered 2 Baked Potatoes and forgo eating rice. The beef brisket is melt in your mouth tasty while the ribs are fall off the bone tender. Of course no trip is complete to Texas Joe's without ordering their heavenly Onion Loaf which are actually onion rings battered lightly and deep fried to perfection.
Don't forget to use their housemade Jalapeno Sauce which tastes way better than the bottled ones.
Food are excellent and service is great. This is a must try place whenever you're at Subic Freeport. The downside is the place can be quiet jampacked during lunch and dinnertime so I suggest you arrive at 11 am for lunch and 5:30 pm for dinner. You can order ahead and chill while having a cocktail before meal

Soooo good! It's my first time dining here and the food is so, so good! My quick favorite is the flamed grill porkchop and the joe mocha shake! The gravy is so flavorful and not your usual gravy. It had hints of beefy taste. It's not free but worth that Php 39. The shake is so good too. Bonus that the staffs are all nice. Polite and patient to us first-timers. This place is definitely worth a drive when you're in Subic. ♡

Great restaurant and i love the texas theme. All the food was great and i love the selection of sauces available. Was pet friendly in the outside area and they have fans and outside AC for the outdoor area :)

I loved their humongous ribs. So tender and so flavorful. I also enjoyed the bubba burger. Wow. There were also tacos and quesadillas. The side dishes were not bad at all. It's also a plus that their personnel were very accommodating. The prices in the menu were strongly justified. Kudos! This must be the best steakhouse on my list.
