#MarcosNoHero. Around 20,000 people gathered and protested on November 30, 2016 against the sneaky burial of former dictator, President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Sr., at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani.

Love the place for it reminds me of the heroism of those Filipinos who fought for our democracy. Just hoping that proper care of the place will be of top priority cleanliness and the likes.

It's sad that this marvelous sculpture commemorating a shining moment of our history commands a viewership of millions from its imposing vantage along EDSA yet inspires but a few. Even more sad that this monument of freedom, is now a target condemnation by our countries' epithumetikon.

A symbol of peaceful revolution although too much tension was felt by many people who were there in February, 1986. Good thing that the revolution ended, else too many people have died.

This is a monument built to commemorate the EDSA REVOLUTION to remind us that any oppressions fr any government can be stopped and overcome in a peaceful way. FAIR WARNING: Not for DDS', they might melt if they will get nearer than 50meters!!!!

In 1986 the people of Philippines demonstrated and rallied along EDSA to end political dictatorship and oppression of freedom rights which included criticism against President Ferdinand Marcos. After the opponent Ninoy Aquino was assasinated his widow became President Cory Aquino. The American leases on bases ended as well within this era. Democracy and capitalism continue along with Christianity as continuing foreign influences. A female raises her hands and arms with various people at the base to symbolize citizen freedom and uplifting empowerment!

Teachers shd give more detailed accounts to elementary students on why this monument has been built. It shd be explained further in junior and senior high school (grades 7 to 12)

Coming for BGC, or White Plains or Mormon Temple, this is best route out to EDSA. Congestion from Makati, Guadalupe and SM Megamall will be avoided.

This wonderful landmark in EDSA is another memento, next to the EDSA Shrine, of the bravery of the ordinary Filipino to a peaceful revolution.

This is the work of Ed Castrillo.

For without the People Power movement, and even the statue to make us remember it, our freedom would have never been restored.

Nice illustrations of past history and old technology used. Magnified apparent subsequent inheritance. Very emancipating
