Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center

This is where I was born on a cold midday of July 1961. There used to be a nursing school here but this hospital expanded to have the most number of hospital beds north of Manila. The painting of Amorsolo that depicts Jesus flanked by natives and a nurse was once stolen but it was returned months later by the buyer, Don Manoling Morato. Unlike most hospitals, this is one governed by an advisory board that recommends operational policies and sets directions. We also had disaster drills like high-rise evacuation at the building led by Dr. Manuel Quirino and 911-On Call Team Leader Rafael "Paeng" Valencia.

Staff and nursing are very accomodating, specially at Orthopedic Department doctors are so friendly. Nice place !

In the COVID isolation, the only way to ask for help is through call or text so you have to prepare enough load and full charged battery.They'll respond immediately specially on emergency but takes time if it's not urgent. Swab test result took us 3 days to wait. In the psychiatry ward we waited many days to be discharged, though they have a great service nurses, guards are friendly, even the cleaning staffs.

I was rushed to emergency room for being unconscious and dizzy 2 days back . I must say appreciation to doctors of BGH and the management. They took care us very well and treated us .

My experience today oct 28 2022, you need to make an appointment before they give you a #, ORTHO & DENTAL is available during working hours 😊no need to have appointments, NEURO giving # or appointment us @ 1p.m only monday to friday.thats all i can share for now while waiting for my appointment # to be signed.thank you & Godbless everyone ☺

Triage was strict but appropriate, checkup esp Covid related was earlier . Restrooms inside buildings were scrupulously clean, but those in the garden was dirty
