Another must visit place in Baguio! Just make sure to check their schedules during weekdays because they close early during weekdays. But we went back the following day and had a blast! We enjoyed the ifugao costumes.

Better to come in the afternoon and wait for the display lights around 5-6pm. There are coffee shops, plants for sale, benches and clean pay restrooms. More food shops in the Botanical Garden Souvenir Shops, right below the small parking area.

I have visited this place several times since I was a kid. But I enjoyed my recent visit because there are LED lights for butterflies and flowers showing the metamorphosis of butterflies.
Children and kids at heart will surely enjoy this place. There is an entrance fee of 100 for adults. They offer discounted price for Baguio residents.

Beautiful and lots of flowers. We liked the cactus area and the butterfly area when it lit. Line for admission is short coz it is not a holiday. We went on a weekday. Last December 2022 when we were in Baguio, we cannot go inside because the lines where too long. And they admit 1-2hrs after

We went there at night, and there was a long line of people waiting to buy tickets for entrance. Costs 100 pesos per person for tourists. The place isn't the most beautiful place in Baguio, but it's a good place for families or couples to visit and take some nice pictures.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Baguio Botanical Garden, and it was a delightful experience overall. Here's a review of the pros and cons based on my visit:
Pros of Baguio Botanical Garden:
Variety of Flora: The garden is home to a diverse collection of plants and trees, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the region. It's a great place for nature enthusiasts and botany lovers.
Cultural Experience: Baguio Botanical Garden also features indigenous huts and sculptures that represent the Cordillera region's cultural heritage. It provides a unique blend of natural and cultural attractions.
Educational: The garden offers informational signs and guides who can provide insights into the different plant species and their significance, making it an educational experience for visitors.
Photography Opportunities: The picturesque landscape and colorful flowers make it a fantastic spot for photography. You can capture some stunning shots amid the lush greenery.
Cons of Baguio Botanical Garden:
Maintenance: During my visit, I noticed that some areas of the garden seemed a bit neglected, with overgrown vegetation and worn-out huts. It could benefit from more consistent maintenance.
Crowds: Baguio Botanical Garden can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays, which can make it challenging to explore and enjoy the serenity of the place.
Limited Amenities: The garden lacks amenities like restrooms and dining options. Visitors should be prepared with essentials like water and snacks.
Pushy Vendors: Some souvenir vendors near the entrance can be a bit pushy, trying to sell their products aggressively, which can be off-putting for some visitors.
In summary, Baguio Botanical Garden offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. It's a great place to connect with nature and learn about the local flora and culture. However, it could benefit from improved maintenance and crowd management, and visitors should be prepared for a rustic experience with limited amenities.

The effort in maintaining a place full of flowers must be excruciating. They also added other attractions aside from flowers and orchids.
Small theme parks were also incorporated, making the visit worthwhile.

We had fun time visiting the botanical garden of Baguio City. We reached the place at 10am estimated. The entrance was quite crowded and took us almost 10 minutes or so before we've got to enter the place. It is a very great garden that showcases a lot of picture worthy spots (a lot of mini-size version of popular infrastructure from different countries). It also have a tunnel that you can explore but we didn't proceed further because there is no tourist guide that could guide us back if ever we could not figure out how to get back to the tunnel's entrance. The whole place feels like a park. Still a great place to visit.
Also, if ever you're planning to buy souvenirs, there's also a souvenir shop you could visit.

Went there early in the morning.. Not many people yet.. So we got the place very quiet.. Paid 100 per adult.. Residents, seniors and children have discounts.. Parking is 35 pesos for the first 2 hours and our car is Vios. The garden is very nice and colorful.. At this month, lots of flowers bloom and the weather was perfect

The Baguio Botanical Garden offers a serene escape into nature, showcasing a diverse collection of plants and trees. The well-maintained pathways lead visitors through themed gardens, providing a delightful and educational experience. The garden's dedication to preserving local flora and promoting environmental awareness is commendable. However, some areas could benefit from additional signage or guided tours to enhance the overall visitor experience. Despite this, the Baguio Botanical Garden remains a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of Baguio.

Great transformation for the upcoming Christmas Holiday 2023. The decorations, lighting and a few musicans playing different instuments made this garden very alive in the evening. The entrance is now 100 for tourists and opens at 6pm until 11pm.

Fresh air, amazing landscape and friendly people. Lots of different kind of flowers. It's feel like I'm in kew garden in UK. 😁 You can rent an Igorot costume for only 30pesos the cheapest one I've found. And you can wear it while looking around the area.

A green, serene and clean garden. The entrance fee is Php 100.00 and you can have access to the whole garden. There are also comfort room and seats available inside and some pasalubong stalls outside.
The garden is along the highway, so it is accessible to jeepneys, mini bus and taxis.
Overall, I love this place, plenty of flowers that flutters your anthophile heart.

Really worth the price. We enjoyed it and it's also close to the city so we didn't have to travel far.

It's better to go at night since they have lights all over the place. Though I suggest buying food in advance outside if you're going to eat inside, as far as I know there's only 3 food stalls inside.
I.D is also needed if you're a residence as the rate for tourists is different.

First time to visit the place even if several times to visit Baguio. The garden is so huge to walk in but worth it to spend time because of the different attractions and display during night of Rizal Day 2023.

Entance Fee:
100 - Non Baguio Residents
50 - For Baguio Residents
A bit expensive for me as there are not much to do, however a good place to go if you are a nature lover, lots of plants and flowers here, but not advisable for those who have difficulties with walking unless you do have wheel chair as they have specific paths. They have few benches as well, but has stores and shops.

I've been to the Botanical Garden in Baguio multiple times, and I must admit, it never fails to amaze me. Each visit unveils new selfie spots and unique features in the area. What's great is that there's easy access to a comfort room for everyone, as well as a convenient food store and souvenir shop on site.

Before the Christmas Season ends, we squeezed a 2-hour (+1 hour travel) to visit the famed Baguio Botanical Garden. There we imbibed the joy of touring your own locality. The butterfly lights struck like metamorphoses on a grand scale, only it wasn't there--that poetic feeling of molting for change from within or just a degree of transformation enough to face life's challenges of the new year; it wasn't there, at least for me. That's why I didn't have the urge to take pictures yet, not until we heard the classical pieces being played by the lone musician near the tiny creek before the Japanese tunnel. I sat down with the cellist and took a video just to record parts of the music that were hugging my heart. Then on, I was smiling as we toured the wide, wide garden while I was telling myself to go back to round it again in the daytime. The Korean styles, the elephants (reminds you of the Burnham Elephant*), and the Chinese zodiacs, etc. are familiar to Baguiotes already... What I didn't like about the garden were the mini statues that are a seeming combination of Buddhists, Hindu, Shinto & Catholic monks in one - it feels so alien or alienating! Another is that at the entrance, I complained a little about the fact that my work base is in Baguio City and I pay taxes in Baguio City but I was not charged the lower entrance fee for Baguio residents because my home address is in La Trinidad. Again, I pay my income & business taxes in Baguio City, ha ha - unfair ah!
*They say that you are not a native of or resident around Baguio if you didn't have a photo with the Elephant in Burnham Park.
