Nature and class put together making one of the most pristine places i have ever been. 90 minutes of plane ride, another 2 hours by land and an hour of boat ride pays off when you arrive. Lucky to have reservation during off peak season and just after a storm with only a few guest around. Should be at least 3 nights to maximize your stay and adventure. Choose the room/villa that has an access to open water and be able to snorkel and appreciate the corals etc.
Food is great! It was an experience of an escape from the busy life of metro.

We loved this place, the bathrooms are super tiny and not nice at all but you will get over that fast. Plus they were in the process of updating the rooms when we went. The house reef is perfect for snorkeling and the day trips are great and included in the cost. Make sure and say hi to Bruno, the giant barracuda that is seriously one of the biggest in the world. The cove where the rooms are is a baby black tip shark nursery and they are literally everywhere. I stopped taking pictures if there wasn't 3 or more in the frame after a while.

I and my wife spent one week at Apulit Island resort and we can confirm it was a truly gorgeous holiday. The staff is made up of people who live there, on the island, and you feel as a part of a community. Moreover, the water cottages (on the west side) are amazing and when you wake up you can see from the balcony the sea and a lot of fish, included some little sharks. About food, every day they cook several typical dishes from appetizer to dessert and we have never had any inconvenient. They are delicious and quite original, even the grilled fish and meat. The weather was ok and for twice we took a kayak to visit the nearest beaches. Far of 10 minutes there are other amazing areas for swimming and enjoying the Apulit Island Nature. Special mention for fauna and flora of Apulit Island, unique!

Crystal clear water, blue sky and sunshine all on a remote island and because of the price not many tourist. Though it takes around 2-3 hours including bus ride to harbor and 1 hr ferry trip to arrive at apulit island but it is all worth it!

Service on island is good not the most experienced but service staff are giving their best.

Food on island is all inclusive don’t expect to much but still delicious. If you start over Saturday to Sunday they have a beach dinner.

A little secret if you ask the front staff for a remote island dinner there will arrange a full set menu and ferry you to a remote island to have your romantic dinner!

For water activity they provide all equipment for free, from snorkeling, SUP, kayaking, wall climbing etc.

Don’t forget to pack your GoPro!

This is an awesome beautiful place to relax and really fall in love with nature. This is our favorite place to vacation. The over water bungalows are very clean and updated. The food is very nice. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Lots of activities and excursions to do. The snorkeling is very good. This was our 2nd vacation at Apulit island Resort in Palawan Philippines and we will be back again. They remembered our Anniversary date and our names from our last vacation there. It's truly an amazing place.

We stayed at Apulit Island for the nights of 27 February to 6 March 2017 (8 nights). The island is amazing – you will not be sorry if you choose Apulit.

We booked and paid for a loft water cottage as opposed to a standard water cottage. However, what you should know is that even though the loft water cottages are bigger their location is not as nice as the water cottage. So after the first night we requested to be moved to the water cottage. The loft water cottages are around the side of the island, so you are away from the ‘action’. The walk to the breakfast area / pool area is much longer. The loft cottages have a view directly out to sea, which is nice, but you lose out on seeing what is happening around the island, which we enjoyed. What we found as well is that we spent most of our time in the main section of the room anyway, downstairs, and just used the loft area for sleeping. One nice feature of the loft cottages is their direct access into the sea. But what you should know is that the current near the water loft cottages is much stronger than ‘in the bay’ near the water cottages so it’s more difficult to swim near the loft cottages. Also the balconies of the loft cottages are quite small, which is strange. The balconies of the water cottages are much bigger and more practical – you can sit comfortably on the balconies without feeling squashed like you do on the loft cottages.

This is an all-inclusive resort. So all meals are included, and all activities. We enjoyed the food, though the selection was rather limited as one would expect being in the middle of the ocean. We took part in most of the activities. The rappelling was challenging for me though Arlyn had a wonderful time and took some amazing photo's. They even have GoPro mounts attached to the helmets – a nice thought.

We enjoyed the snorkeling trips to different islands – that was great fun and a nice way to see different reefs. You will get the most amazing photo's – the water around the island is magnificently clear and truly beautiful.

You are taken care of right from the time that you land at El-Nido – there are buses clearly designated for your travel to TayTay where you catch the boat to the island. Everything is taken care of from the time you step on the plane in Manila until you arrive at the island (and on your return journey too). The drive from the airport in El-Nido to TayTay is around 75 minutes, before you board a boat for the 75 minute sail to the island. All part of the adventure in getting to this wonderful island.

Make sure you try the private dinner on the beach (for an extra cost). Jeff, from the restaurant, arranged our first private dinner on a complimentary basis since we were staying eight nights. We then booked a second private dinner – a 5-course dinner, wonderfully prepared and presented. Unforgettable, and a great opportunity for photo's.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Apulit Island – you must visit the Philippines, you will not be sorry. El-Nido / Palawan is lovely, and Apulit Island is really special. I have no hesitation in recommending the resort. We were fortunate to have eight beautiful days on bright sunshine and beautiful sunsets – an enjoyable and unforgettable vacation.

So, to summarize, make sure that you book a water cottage with a number between 40 and 51 for the best location on the island.

Neglecting the absolutely beautiful island and nature almost untouched, what took my heart is the crew, the thoughtless and understanding of any demand thoroughly. The huge heart of the crew is somthing you do not see everywhere. The activities are great and fun, the only 'problem' is that around 9 pm you got nothing to do, typical to isolated islands like this, the rooms are a bit small with no TV to kill time at night. But the place is simply amazing.

My friend Cora B Longhi and I stayed in Apulit from Jan 8-14, 2016. She had booked this a couple of months ago from Switzerland. It was one of the best if not the best experience in my life. Everyone working in Apulit is genuinely great. They are sooo nice and make you feel like family. I personally wrote down all the names of the employees I met, but lost the piece of paper where I wrote it down. I can remember, Gerry, Joey and Ramil who were so nice in always being there and answering all our questions and helping us in any way they could. And I forget the names of the people in the Buffet, but all those preparing the meals and serving us were simply perfect. Genuinely caring and so gentle. and they gave us a Filipino dance show where you could see that they really enjoyed entertaining us !! There was one man who danced with all his emotions and it was a thrill to watch him dance and his name was Junix. There was Michael who was a perfect guide. Dong (I think) who was such a good hiking guide for my friend Cora. There was Belle, Edu, and just everyone else was great. Even the OJT kids working as guides, were super. We met 2 Doctoras within our one week stay who were fabulous ! In fact this is the first time I shed some tears while leavin the island. Apulid is the best experience in this world, ever ! I have gone around the world in my life, but Apulid sure ranks at the top of my list. Sorry for the names of the rest that I forgot, but they were all equally great !!!! Apulid Island is a Gem. Not only for the natural beauty tnd tranquility the island gives us but also for all the employees who make the island the best place to stay in !! Mabuhay kayong lahat !!!!

Just paradise !! The whole small island belongs to the resort. Everything is taken care of, for your best comfort. Watch beautiful sunset and swim among millions fishes in the ocean. Also don't forget to dump your smartphone for few days, disconnect from Facebook blabla and come back to real life (really worth :)

This place is amazingly beautiful. The resort is so nice and isolated. If you want to really enjoy nature this is the place to be. They have little bungalows over the water where the water is so clear and you could see fishes swimming around the area . The service and accommodation is excellent. Our vacation package includes tour to the other islands and a lot of water activities, including snorkeling, Kayaking, waterboarding. It also include all inclusive food. At night they even have entertainment where you could see the staff performing local dance and you could participate. The island is so isolated only guest are using the beach so you have a lot of privacy. The resort is about an hour by boat from the main island of Taytay in Palawan, Philippines. This is one of the most memorable vacation i ever had. Will surely be back again someday.

This is amazing place that I enjoy, every stuff and guests are so close just like a family, and if you want to do snorkeling, you can swimming by yourself everywhere and it’s safety, no need to worry too much, if you feel play in the water too much, you also can do climbing rappelling and hiking here, a lot of activities here, pick up your luggage and enjoy here, it’s a best choice!

Nice place to relax. Great food selections with healthy alternative for vegetarians and seafood lovers. There is also a variety of meat menu and wide choices for drinks at the bar.
