Café Engelberg

As it's my birthday today I decided to treat myself to an English Breakfast. I came across Cafe Engelberg by chance. Seems it is a popular place for foreigners to come for breakfast. It turned out to be a good experience. I had a good breakfast, good service and a good atmosphere. I will be going there again for sure.
There was a brown out at home today so where better to get coffee and breakfast and also friendly customers and staff.
The fish and chips are great here. Almost as good as back in England. Minus a lot of grease.

Nice and quiet, clean, and the food is good quality plus very reasonably priced

Suggestions to the breakfast. Add one or two sausages, plus tomato to the existing breakfast as that will give it a total experience. It would be fulfilling for the day

Waitress was dealing with my request to pay the Bill and then left me waiting when another customer called her so he could have his bill delt with . After she had finished serving him she then came back to finish serving me. After I had been left mid service and left waiting for another customers convenience. What happened to first come first served? All she had to do was tell this guy yes sir I will be with you as soon as I can . And then finish dealing with the present customer before walking away and leaving me to wait.

Nice cafe with nice and friendly service. The owner is from Switzerland and willing to share a nice chat and good stories.
Worth a visit.

Lovely well run professional place, very accomodating, relaxed ,clean & tidy, food is great. I love taking my family here, it's only minutes from where we live.

Nice place to stop by for food and drinks. Breakfast is always good and service is always friendly.

This is my go-to café whenever the Internet is down at home or if I feel like working outside. The Internet is fast, the food is great and reasonably priced (and huge servings!), the comfort room is squeaky clean, and the staff are very accommodating. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. Lots of parking space too, and you can go to the neighboring store for bread :)

Went there once... its gonna be a go to...most authentic western breakfast I have had since being here... a year now...

It was every bit as good as the first time... great western style food... we had the French fries and they were nice and crispy... the coffee is exceptional.
My fiancé had the tapsilog and it was great as well...

Wonderful restaurant! Relaxing ambiance with indoor or shaded outdoor seating. Great menu with Swiss German classics as well as Filipino dishes. Full bar also. Friendly owners too!

Friendly owner open from 7am to 10pm. Good location and foods. Nice ambience. My favorite is their cappuccino.

I would say one of the best restaurants on Mactan. The food is Swiss style due to the owner, but there are many Pinoy dishes available as well. Whatever the choice, the food is very well prepared and tasty. Surprisingly, the prices are also very adequate for what you get and a surprise considering you eat on Mactan, which is full of tourists. The staff is friendly and attentive and the ambiance sitting on the porch covered in greenery is relaxing. Worth a visit!

We held our meet and greet event @Cafe Engelberg and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had breakfast and it was perfect. We packed the place and the staff responded admirably! Extra waitresses were brought in. I give it 5 stars because this place is one of the hidden gems in Lapu Lapu City.

Small, part of terraced row of new build shops. Makes up in ample outside seating area under a verander. Inside has air con; table service and bell assistance per table so you do not have to get up (unless you want to). Pleasant and welcoming. One of those nuggets that need mentioning as it has the satisfaction factor. An essential addition to Cebu.

My personal score is 10/10.

Nice Small restaurant and coffee shop. Here you can eat different kind of dishes. One of the Specialitys are swiss type food like "Zürcher Geschnetzeltes". My meal was perfect and for a good prise. Also the service was good. It will be not the last time i'll visit this place again
