The temple has house rules and a must remember is to not wear any clothing that exposes skin especially off shoulder or crop top. Mini skirts or shorts are not allowed as well. My friends and I went there on a weekday so there weren't many people around, we got to enjoy it more and we were able to take photos with no photo bummers 😁
There is a wide parking space, a guard to give you reminders, instructions, answer your questions, etc
There are also personnel inside the temple in case you want to light an incense and pray
The front area of the temple has a spectacular view overlooking the beach.

This is one of the recommended tourist spots you should visit when you're in La Union. There is no reservation needed and no need for an entrance fee. Upon entering, there are rules to take into consideration, and be mindful of the dress code. Also to mention that there are no pets allowed.

It is a functioning temple, it is necessary to keep your voice down and be respectful to worshippers inside the temple.

The parking area can be found upon entry and can accommodate a couple of cars and motorcycles. No need to pay for parking.

The place is very relaxing and the view from the top is beautiful. Certainly good for taking photos.

The place is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and clean. This place is open for anyone and there's NO ENTRANCE FEE. They have dress codes you need to follow before you may enter the premises. If i recall correctly, S/He who wears short pants is not allowed to enter.

It's beautiful, clean and well kept! Mostly tourists are visiting it but it's an actual functioning temple which makes it better because it has less touristy vibe.
No entrance fee but there are many rules to follow (no wearing skirt, tank top, short shorts etc.) also no pets allowed.

No entrance fee. Please respect the monks who are praying inside the temple when taking pictures. Wear appropriate decent clothes, like t-shirt and pants, do not wear clothes that reveals your shoulder and legs.

Balanced chinese temple grounds with several garden points of tourist interest. Wander on your own, there are no guides, so you don't know if you've seen the entire temple grounds or not. There's much climbing and walking uphill too. As long as you're outdoors, you can freely take pictures of this Taoist temple. Only outdoor picture taking is allowed.

Inside the altar chamber area, you need to pay 50 pesos to light 3 incense sticks to kneel on the cushion and offer at the center of the pot. The grandma guarding the temple altar inside is strict and not friendly, so stay clear unless you're a practitioner. Be mindful and respectful, quietly move so you don't disturb those coming in. The grandma is strict that everyone going inside those chambers need to wear face mask before going inside and to pay for the incense sticks if you want to experience their worship style.

Outside, the key points for pictures are: large gate, the bamboos, the octagonal pond, the numerous stone statues, and the scenery by the stairs. There are some candles lit outside and some small statues with names of the donors underneath. There's a big Ronald McDonald's statue at the ground floor outside where you can sit down to rest, but I was too lazy to make the turn inside to get there again from the outside.

If you have the time, come early to avoid the crowd and the sun, it's hot outside. It's an okay tourist spot, but could be better if there was some kind of guide, story, or info about their beliefs in the place near the entrance or the walking spots.

Ma-Cho is a Taoist temple that also serves as a tourist spot in La Union. Its design, color, structure, and ambiance are perfect for a person like me. What's so stunning is the interior and arch with a 180 degrees view of the sea. There is no entrance fee. Has wide parking. Visitors need to observe clothing protocol.

The view is nice. You should be very cautious of your outfit. They don't allow short-shorts or skirts, spaghetti or tube tops and other revealing outfits. It's a temple and a sacred place for Taoist.

Simply beautiful a Taoist temple to the Chinese See-Goddess Mazu build in late 1970s. It's architecture and 7story temple is simply amazing. Unfortunately we were asked not to stick around for to long, still was able to walk trough all surroundings. Inside is not allowed to enter which I do understand. Very relaxing atmosphere even if just for a short time. Definitely worth the trip.

The place has improved the last time I visited it. The place is clean and environmental friendly. There is no entrance fee which is very good. You only need to follow their rules and you can roam around the place already. In this place, even if you aren't a Chinese national, you can appreciate the beauty of their Culture. Thank you Macho Temple for the beautiful nature and culture experience.

The temple's attractions include the Five Door Gate, the Bamboo Garden, the Liang Thing Pagoda, 2 circular ponds, the golden emblem of a dragon, the Bell Tower, and the Drum Tower. The place is very nice. Just a little walk from the city center. The caretaker & guard were very accommodating. A solemn place for people meditating. There was even music being played throughout the compound. A must-place to visit in La Union 👍🏼

The temple itself is so beautiful. And also they have dress code, since it's a temple you can't enter if you're wearing shorts, revealing dress or strap dresses. No entrance fee.

Decent clothes should be worn inside the temple. You may light an incense and offer a prayer. This is a good experience to see the culture and tradition of other religion.
