St. Gabriel Medical Center

We visited that Hospital for Ultrasound scan and consultation for my wife(to be sure baby is ok). What I can say about service is pretty professional and both doctors (gynecologist and radiologist) they are amazing. Prices not very different we have in russian private clinics.

It takes advantage of some huge cases, but the health care is average 😊

I think this hospital is good in providing value for their stakeholders. They will really bill you for unnecessary expenses like:
1. having to be entered in a private room since there are few beds in the ER.
2. they will administer to you all sorts of medicines without explanation on what it is for.
3. there were plenty of medicines prescribed/ordered from their hospital's pharmacy that i thought their pharmacy is not 24 hours.
4. the doctor at the ER did not even get any vital signs nor patient's history but was very quick though in writing down the medicines to be taken.

If you ever get sick. DO NOT, again Do NOT ever go to this hospital. Staff are always absent. It's been 3 days now and i can't get my medical records because the personnel are not going to work. I have also been calling their hotline and no one is answering. If you are in serious condition and needed urgent medical attention, you cannot be seen by the doctors immediately even if you come in via Emergency Room. Their nurses will just assign you to a room and let you wait for 24 hours before you get checked. Also, they wouldn't allow your HMO to cover 100% of the costs and would ask you to pay 15-20% of your medical bills even if your HMO can afford to cover all costs. Better go another hospital or your life will be at risk.

American Xpat living in Boracay. Had cyst removed from elbow February 3, 2023. 2 nites in hospital. 146,00p. Discharged on a Saturday February 4. Went to PNB bank ATM but could only withdraw 50,000p. Limit to withdraw money per day. Forgot to bring my credit card so hospital insisted I return to room until Monday. Threatened to call police if I tried to leave. Called wife at home for credit card number, expiration date. Cashier said she could not use numbers, had to have card to swipe in machine. Cashier was arrogant and incompetent. Worst experience ever.
