I had a wonderfull time at MCP. I stayed a little longer then the expected 12 weeks because I loved the place so much. I did my divemaster training and some tec courses. It was a blast and I met so many beautiful humans from all over the world. The food from Melba and her crew was amazing and I miss on every dive boat her dive snacks. If you have the chance to contribute some time to MCP do it. The team is amazing and the base is a very relaxed oasis in the heart of Negros Oriental. You will see divesites who nobody else is diving and collected data at same wonderfull reefs.

Amazing place! They work together with the community to get positive results in marine conservation.
You will get trained to do surveys and you will learn everything to know about the underwater world, mangroves and more.
Beside all that, they learn you how to become an excellent diver.

I had the best time here, I was so sad my time here was so short. The staff were all awesome and I loved getting to know everyone :) I learnt so much in 4 weeks, and I would love to go back if I can sometime. Already missing it, one of the best experiences of my life :)

Spent 6 weeks at mcp, I learned so much, met so many amazing people and was very sad to leave. I did my open water and advanced. I 100% recommend this place to anyone! The place’s you go, the thing you see are out of this world. The staff is amazing, they helped me so much and I am forever great full to them. If I could I would have stayed longer.

This is without doubt the best decision I’ve made to come stay 5 months with MCP. Not only is the diving beautiful, the base lovely, the food fantastic, and great to meet so many people. But without a doubt the best part of it is the staff and how hard they work, they really go above and beyond to make you the best divers possible, taking much more time than other places would to help you. Couldn’t recommend MCP enough, thank you so much for everything.

An incredible organisation and team. Had the best experience volunteering with them and could not recommend MCP enough. Will be going back to do my dive masters.

Joining this little international paradise in the Philippines, with the best food and the most cozy base, I really felt like I found a second home. I made several life-long friendships there and learned about marine life and diving through the best and most caring staff-members and dive-instructors on the planet. The passion for marine conservation and diving is eminent in every person that lives in this community.

I was only gonna stay for 6 weeks at MCP for my first trip as a solo-traveller in my gap year, but I soon realized, that I had to extend my stay so that I could learn more about diving, meet more amazing people and enjoy the learning atmosphere that MCP offers.

I came as a non-diver but ended up doing several courses including the Divemaster course there, and I cannot think of a better place to have done this.

So much love to this place, I can't imagine not going back one day.

I was supposed to stay at MCP for 8 weeks, but I couldn’t leave that amazing place, lovely staff and all the great volunteers! I had to extend for 2 more weeks! It have been 10 weeks with learning about diving, live underwater and environment changing! Besides that I got friends for live and an adventure. I would recommend this to everybody, and I will probably come back one day!

If I could have stayed longer I would have. Even after a 4-month stay, I still didn't want to fly home. I loved the dive sites, the camp, the food, the other volunteers and especially the staff members. I am so happy about the experiences and memories I have made with mcp and I recommend it to everyone :)

What can I say? MCP became my home during the three months I spent there. I totally fell in love with that place!
The community way of living, sharing similar daily routines and having people from all over the world around you is a very bonding experience. Walking around barefoot and living surrounded by nature makes it a wonderful experience :-) I did my divemaster with Jason as my instructor and he supported me to increase my selfconfidence in diving and gave me time to go over certain things again and again until I felt safe about it. During the course I appreciated a lot the time and patience spent on different skills/ exercises as well as his expertise. Jason and Kiri were always supportive if problems occured, even if they were personal. All of the above made it a safe space to live in and I'm definitely coming back one day :D

After 6 amazing weeks of volunteering at MCP, two courses, new friends and lots of dives, memories and fun, I sadly had to say goodbye to a great life experience!
From the very first email to the last hug one can feel the engagement of the amazing staff running the always-looking-for-improvement base.
Definitely coming back to join their Divemaster Program! Can’t compare the quality and standards offered at MCP to any other dive center. I felt very safe in absolutely every dive I made with them!
Thanks to all the staff for the huge effort you guys put to make MCP work the way it does! ❤
Special thanks to Bárbara, Kauê and Jason!

What an unworldly and life changing experience this program offers. I will never stop recommending MCP to anyone wanting to learn to dive that cares about conservation and the ocean. I have never met a group of more authentic, kind, inspiring, and free people anywhere else. You can easily tell there was a lot of thought behind the creation of this program. It brings together a community of beautiful people to do beautiful works for our earth all while learning scuba skills. The instructors are all so patient and only want to see your growth and mastery. There is definitely a very large piece of my heart left with MCP that will always remain there. Cheers :)

A life-changer. A unique experience that I am extremely happy to have had. I wish I had taken more weeks instead of only 6 weeks. In all ways a great experience that I can only recommend no matter your age. Thanks to the staff - all the instructors that I had were much better than what I have tried in other places. And they have a passion for the ocean and sea life and the planet. And thanks to the wonderful volunteers, I miss you all. I would love to come back.

After 7 amazing weeks at MCP I can just say a big thank you to all the staff and volunteers making that place so great.

I arrived at MCP with about 110 fun dives and a lot of volunteers with 30-40 dives at MCP where already better divers than I was at that time, that showed how high their level of teaching is.

After the courses I got my substrate training, which was super interesting and after the training I felt ready and perfectly prepared to go out in a body team to collect valid Data. I managed to do about 40 Surveys and I loved every single dive and survey. Being allowed to collect the Data of existing MPA’s (Marine Protected Areas) to check how they doing or reefs that are not protected yet to show that it is important to make them a MPA as well, feels really great.

MCP achieved already a lot and being part of the team is amazing.

I can recommend MCP to all my friends and it’s definitely a place where I would love to go back to.

Thank you and a lot of love for what MCP is doing and how they do it, I loved it. See you soon.

P.s. Cheers Jason and to everybody else of course I’ll miss all of you.

I have just finished a 6-month program at MCP and had the experience of a lifetime. Learned so much about how to identify different types of fish and coral. Made friends for life that come from all across the globe. Food was incredible, staff are inspiring and the actual base itself is so clean and tidy. I highly recommend joining this little remote international community, couldn’t not have asked for much more

Here is my 5 star rating, because it was amazing. This is a special thank you to MCP, their staff members, kitchen staff, and procean. You made my stay amazing. I came for diving, doing surveys with the invertebrates, and some courses. I love diving, i like the inverts. I was so happy under water and doing the things i like. Also, the Saturdays I liked, a shout out to Tanduay for that. I met some nice people over there and I will plan to come back!
