Anytime Fitness UP Town Center

This is my go-to AF branch where I can do any workout and would not feel like I am lacking equipment for my routine. It is a good AF branch, and maintained well even for its age. The cardio machines have been serviced, and the padding for many machines and benches have just recently been replaced. The place is also good for powerlifters, as there are many areas to do squats, bench, and deadlifts (as much as 5 racks, plus a smith machine). Plates may run out quickly though if a lot are lifting heavy, but they have added more 20 kg plates to try and address that. It can get crowded at times since it is in close proximity to some schools (UP, Ateneo, Miriam), but is spacious enough to handle busier days. Bathrooms are kept clean for the most part, but have been lacking soap and shampoo for quite a while now. Their activity area is now blocked out whenever there are group classes and/or PT sessions. So it is best to go here when there are no group classes, to maximize the space of this branch. Parking space is abundant, given it is in UP Town Center.

Member since July 2016. Good gym for powerlifting, since it has multiple barbells and power racks for members' use, as well as bumper plates (something that only a few AF gyms have). Really only gets crowded after work hours; mornings / nights are generally free. Great gym overall.

Coming from Gold's Gym Katipunan. In my opinion this a much more cleaner and hygenic gym. Also it is a gym that has very friendly staff they allow you to drop the Barbells and Dumbbells since it is a powerlifter friendly gym! Their equipment is much better compared to Gold's gym also. They even have bumper plates ranging from 10lbs to 45lbs. They have womens barbells, Rough olympic bars and olympic bars! And I would like to highlight the VERY CLEAN bathrooms and good air conditioning.

AF UP Town Center is the only one close to my home or workplace that 1) has bumper plates and 2) is on a groundfloor. I can do O-lifts and drop the barbell without worrying about the effect of noise.
