Sabtang Island Stone Houses

It is one of the go-to places in Sabtang Island and is located in Brgy. Savidug. Get to see the traditional houses made of stone and other materials located on the island. These stone houses are built by the residents by hand. It's such a fascinating engineering wonder.

Savidug Stonehouses Village is such a peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It's probably the highlight of our tour in Sabtang. Learned more about the history and the rich culture of the Ivatans and got to wear "vakul". Don't forget to catch a sight also of the Kissing Rocks of Chavayan Village when you are there.

This is really a place to visit in Batanes. This small Village is really typical from Ivatan, it is still not too crowded, you can rent a local costume for pictures taking (20pesos/person). Very nice, best is to go to sabtang island by motorbike with the boat, so you can adjust your day in sabtang. :)

Its a small native town that is worth the visit. The way going here is just as mesmerizing. We went here during the summer season, so make sure to bring items to cover you from the scorching heat of the sun.

One of the best places to go to in Batanes. Sabtang is just a few minutes away from Ivana, a municipality in the Mainland Batanes. Sabtang stone houses also offer a good vibe of peacefulness and serenity. Aside from that, you will also feel how it is like to be one of the Ivatans through renting their "farming clothes". For the males, it is called vakul. Native ivatans are also very accommodating and would offer you great experience while on the island of Sabtang. This is surely a one thing you should never miss while on your trip to Batanes.
