Titicaca Marka Lodge

Staying at the Titicaca Marka Lodge is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to live the way the Uros peoples have lived on the lake for generations, with the comforts of a relaxing retreat. Valeria and Jose were so accommodating and kind to coordinate transfers, provide us with beautiful meals, and give us everything we needed for a kayaking adventure in the lake. Waking up floating on the open water is like nothing else. Keep in mind the lodge is fully solar powered so yes, it’s possible to use up the hot water but we enjoyed feeling unplugged for a few days.

Wow is all I can say..... This family has become our family ! I am Canadian and my boyfriend Cesar is Colombian we travel quite a bit and love going to different places. Lake Titicaca was on our adventure bucket list. The first time we visited was back in August of 2021, Valle and her husband Jose as well and David were outstanding, they treated us like family. The rooms were comfortable and luxurious and they come every night and make sure the fireplace is lit for you!!! Valle cooks for you everyday, from fresh juices, to chicken and fresh veggies everything is delicious. This place is a little pc of heaven on earth !! We decided we loved it so much we came back just recently in May of 2022. We were there for my birthday and Valle decorated the room with flowers and heart balloons and even wrote and C and K on the floor with hearts. This women and her family are such pure people and will make sure you experience the true meaning and feel of the Uros and the culture. If you are looking for anywhere to stay don't look any further, most of the places have the same amenities and food BUT the people Valle, her husband and david are the ones who make this place different from all the rest. This is home away from home and we can't wait to come back !! XX

My stay was excellent because my host family made it so my room was big and cozy. Right on the lake with a beautiful view. Just know that being that it's on a floating island getting in and out it's not really convenient. Everyday I was promoted breakfast and at night I was provided dinner. I would highly recommend this place just know that there was no Wi-Fi. Also if you're going to pay at the hotel make sure you bring cash.

This place is absolutely magical. If you are looking for a unique experience in Lago Titicaca, staying here is a must. Best location for sunset / sunrise right from your bed. The young couple running the lodge are the most humble, nicest, and attentive hosts ever. 100% recommended.

My wife & I stayed at Titicaca Marka Lodge for 2 days. Valeria & Jose were extremely gracious hosts and their lodge is exquisite. The accommodation was brand new and the view from the lodge is brilliant with a great outdoor area with a gazebo. Valeria organized a tour of Tequile island and was also kind enough to take us on a boat ride to the neighboring reed islands. The meals while home cooked were delicious, thoroughly enjoyed the grilled trout and the chicken! Would love to come back and spend more time. It was amongst our best experiences during our 3 week trip to Peru.

We had a wonderful stay at Titicaca Marka Lodge. The property is beautifully appointed, clean and very comfortable. Our meals were delicious! I highly recommend this unique lodging on the waters of Lake Titicaca.

When my husband told me that we were going to stay on a surprise venue on the Titicaca lake, I was ready to embrace a raw experience. But Valeria and Jose (the owners) spoilt us too well!
Everything was wonderful and completely surprised me. We were picked up at the little port at Puno, and the boatride was so serene and peaceful, Jose was an expert at slicing through the forest of reeds and made our ride as smooth as possible.
Upon reaching the private floating island, I can see a puma head made of reed. Indeed, Marka means Puma hence the art display.
The room was carefully designed with thoughtfulness, everything was charming and cosy. There were 2 beds, one king-sized and one double bed (i guess for guests with children - we will definitely come back with our kids in the future!) . The bed can't be more comfortable, Valeria even gave us few heat tubs and slip them in our bed to keep us warm through the night. They also have a heater in the room although it can only be lit from 6pm-9pm because its gas powered. My point is, considering how cold it can be at the lake, i was completely warmed up and happy with just one layer of pajamas 😁
We were also served with abundance of hot tea, bottled water and food. The dinner and breakfast were completely delicious and assorted, and it just felt like home. One night is definitely not enough, it was such a unique and rewarding experience for me. De nuevo, muchas gracias!!

A truly remarkable stay at an impeccable floating hotel with amazing hosts :)

My wife & I went to Peru for our honeymoon in July of 2021 and our stay with Valeria & Jose at the Lake Titicaca Marka Lodge was the highlight of our trip! The Marka Lodge is the most exquisite lodging available on Los Uros and Valeria & Jose are the most gracious & nicest hosts! We truly felt in the best of hands with Valeria & Jose. If you are going to the Puno/Lake Titicaca area, you MUST stay at the Lake Titicaca Marka Lodge. You will have the time of your life!!

Note: The hosts can also book/arrange trips to Taquile, Amantani, Sillustani and more! Contact them before reaching out to any 3rd party travel/tour companies as they will coordinate everything to ensure you have a great tour!!

The hosts are very kind and well organized. The lodge itself offers a very unique experience on the lake.

Nous avons passe un sejour extraordinaire chez Valeria son mari. Situes en dehors de la zone touristique, l environment est calme et en pleine nature. Nous y sommes restes 3 nuits, et c etait parfait. Un confort haut de gamme, une vue spectaculaire, un accueil et un service aux petits soins. Et bien sur : la vue 360 degres. Tout est prevu pour un sejour de reves. Du lever du Soleil depuis notre deck privé, jusqu au coucher du Soleil depuis Notre lit ou depuis notre espace exterieur. A recommander pour un sejour authentique, chez l habitant mais grand confort. Petit dejeuner juste parfait : jus presses, pain maison, fruits frais. Bref, inoubliable ! Quant aux visites, Valeria et son mari nous ont emmenes relever Les filets de Peche et faire un tour sur leur bateau traditionnel. Kayak a disposition egalement. Nous recommandons chaleureusement.

Las vistas de las habitacines son perfectas, solo se respira paz y tranquilidad. Algo que necesitabamos después de muchas horas de bus. La habitación tiene todo lo necesario y está decorada con buen gusto y elegancia. La comida muy buena, en especial el desayuno. La atención de Valeria y Jose ha sido de 10 para todo lo que hemos necesitado. Tienen dos preciosas baby alpacas que han sido la guindilla del pastel para esta experiencia. Muy recomendable!

José y Valeria son encantadores. El lodge es una auténtica maravilla, no le falta detalle, tanto en la decoración como en todas las comodidades de la habitación. No puede ser mejor. Totalmente recomendable. Una experiencia maravillosa.

Nuestra experiencia fue única y maravillosa. Todo fue excelente; la atención, la limpieza, la comida muy rica 👌 Lo recomendamos cien por ciento. Las atenciones que nos brindaron fueron muy amistosas. Lo asen sentir como familia. El lugar muy encantador. Seguro que regresaré muy pronto.

Visitamos el logde en Agosto 2021, la suite tenía una vista espectacular, comida deliciosa y muy variada. Lo mejor fue la atención de José y Valeria.

Es ist zentral, die Zimmer sind geräumig und es ist sauber. Das Frühstück ist sehr teuer. Es lohnt sich, auf einer Terrasse zu frühstücken.
