Posada Santa Barbara

Amazing place! Tranquil and calm place on the outskirts of puno - you’d better stay here than in the city :) but it’s still close enough to do all the sightseeing you’d want to do around the lake.

Anja and Santiago are really nice hosts, too. They also take care of 14 horses with so much love. It’s also possible to go on 1-2h horseback riding tours with them.

Apart from that, you can also go on really nice hikes in the surroundings of chucuito and the posada!

A charming rustical lodge located at 15 minutes bus ride of Puno.
The Hotel is ingenuously build with environmental impact in mind using the local materials (stones from the property, eucalyptus wood,...).

The rooms have a lot of charm and the breakfast is very good. The hosts are very welcoming and a offering an excellent service.

As an additional service the lodge proposes horsebackriding with their beloved horses.

A true treasure. If you seek for nature, a place to rest and get your mind free...that s the place. Santiago, the staff, Sonja are all warm-hearted. Easy walks around this small town. Wonderful views, dogs,cats horses. Small places to find things. And the food.... best Pizza. Enjoy the sanctuary of posada santa barbara.

A quiet, quaint gem. A lovely young couple runs this hostel and it was a pleasant, clean accommodation with an amazing view. Worth the 15 minute bus ride out of Puno to stay here!

Amazing stay at this rustic horse lodge. Delicious food, views of the lake, and very welcome hosts that will make you feel right at home. I could not recommend more !

Maravilloso lugar para quedarse por días enteros. Ideal para el retiro de cualquier bullicioso. Tiene una buena vista al Lago Titicaca.
