We had such an amazing lunch at Kampu! The food was excellent, but the real treat was Eduardo, the chef/owner who has a passion for food that radiates! He's an awesome guy who has lived such a cool life -- and he is clearly so excited and enthusiastic about creating a beautiful meal for each guest who walks through Kampu's doors.

My experiences at Kampu have all been excellent. This small restaurant is distinctively unique, set in a picturesque and inviting courtyard. Eduardo is a remarkable chef and a real character, exuding a deep passion for his craft. Each time I visit, I simply trust his recommendations, and I am always delighted. Furthermore, Laura's Pisco sours are an absolute delight, leaving you craving ‘just one more.’

Booking in advance is advisable, and note that the restaurant is only open during the day. It's worth making the trip for a truly unique dining experience.

This restaurant is hands down the best I’ve had in Peru. The food is delicious and the people are somehow even better! Eduardo is an amazing host and a super good chef. He treats everyone like guests in his home and it is such a beautiful atmosphere. The food is a fusion like I have never had before and it is well worth trying. I highly highly recommend trying the ceviche. I was not going to order it, but Eduardo recommended it and I am so glad I listened. It’s truly one of the best dishes I have eaten (and I love and try a lot of food). You just whats app message Eduardo to make a reservation because the place is intimate and you will likely be the only guest or maybe 1 of 2 tables. It’s an experience to eat there, and a truly remarkable one!

Delicious. This is one of those rare places that is both a fantastic meal and an experience. Eduardo is the chef and owner, and he made sure that we were comfortable and taken care of. This restaurant is his passion, and he wants to share that with people. He made us two fantastic dishes, one was a miso and mushroom curry, which had an unbelievably umami flavor, and another was a tajine, with a special tomato curry sauce. He put his flare in everything and it was delicious. We also had a fantastic starter of crispy eggplant, warm shrimp ceviche, and a desert of homemade key lime pie.

The man is an artist and this place should not be missed. Eduardo is very welcoming, and extremely interesting, and will sit and chat with you if you're open with that. You should be, he has great stories and has lived a very interesting life. All in all this experience was a complete pleasure.

Delicious lunch, incredibly fresh and well-prepared Peruvian/Asian fusion, one of my best meals in Peru :) the owners Eduardo and Laura are warm and knowledgeable hosts. Eduardo even served a miso curry he invented that day. Make a reservation over WhatsApp +51 950 793 275

Really amazing food and experience at this small restaurant in central Urubamba. One of the owners was our server and she greeted us kindly. The cat ambassador Callie was sweet and friendly. We sat on the patio under a beautiful bougainvillea tree. We were brought a complimentary dish of fried eggplant with honey that was unique and flavorful. I had the shrimp with Cajun Thai and Peruvian flavors and the dish just blew me away. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend!

Amazing lunch! The owner/chef is friendly and fun. Every dish we ordered was a 10/10. The service and ambiance was outstanding. Not sure when we'll be back to Peru, but Kampu is absolutely on our repeat list.

Culinary artistry, zero pretentiousness. It’s so rare to find what’s cooking up here — 100% love and devotion to ingredients. I count myself lucky to have discovered this wondrous place and to have met the super humble cook who shuns the word chef — even though Eduardo is the most deserving of this titile if anyone. Come here for the experience of a meal prepared with the love of a grandmother who paints one-of-a-kind flavors from a globally inspired palette. We managed to narrow down all of the mind bending appetizer choices to the 10 spoons, which distilled the taste of pure Thailand into one bite that transported me back there in a way no other restaurant has since managed to. Our glorious table was graced with a Moroccan tagine with meatballs of filet mignon and eggs shashuka style, a nutty Massuman shrimp curry that married Indian and Thai notes with precision, and Eduardo’s spin on Lomo Saltado— a Peruvian staple elevated with Chinese influences and the meat temperature was spot on. The last dish to arrive was a filet mignon curry amplified with miso that a family from Okinawa had gifted him. I managed to get a photo of that before it vanished. The key lime pie we couldn’t resist ordering and disappeared in a frenzy of spoons. Best of luck getting more wowed over a casual lunch. He nailed every single dish in this extraordinary rainbow of tastes. Just wow, and muchas gracias.

Fabulous experience. We found Kampu through Google Reviews and planned our day around our reservation. So glad we did. Delicious meal and Eduardo was able to meet our families various dietary restrictions. Not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said by other reviewers. Enjoy!

This was one of the most amazing dining experiences of my life. The food, people and atmosphere are perfecto. If chef Eduardo asks you to trust him, you should. Chef does an amazing job with gluten free and vegan as well. Once in a lifetime experience.

This is by far the best restaurant experience I’ve had in my life! The amazing chef, Eduardo, is very kind and always meets the guest personally explaining his passion for food. He chooses every ingredient fresh, from the fish to the spices, and does it personally with a lot of thought. A must for anyone who is visiting the Peruvian Andes.

We went here for lunch two days in a row, because everything was sooo delicious that we had to come back to try more! Chef Eduardo literally makes you feel at home and the food tastes like it too!! You can taste the fresh ingredients, the love and passion that went into making it. The Thai, Indian, Peruvian, Brazilian tastes are all impeccably executed by themselves and beautifully married with each other by Eduardo’s genius. Highly recommend!!

If you’re in Urubamba make SURE you come here. My partner and I have been travelling Peru for 8 weeks and this was easily the best meal we had (better than really expensive restaurants in Lima!) The charismatic chef/owner explains the ins and outs of the specials and makes you feel at home. He’s travelled the world learning different cooking styles and creates incredible fusion dishes. 11/10!

I have been in Peru for two weeks and haven’t had a bad meal since I’ve been here, but this place takes the cake as the best meal I’ve eaten in Peru so far.

We were greeted warmly by one of the two co-owners, who told us that her other co-owner is also the chef. She read us the menu options for the day, took our orders, and made the drinks, which were delicious! I can’t remember what it’s called, but I highly recommend the juice with passionfruit, strawberries, ginger, and lemongrass.

If the peanut tomatar curry is available, get it! The beef is usually recommended but I had it with chicken and it was so perfect I can’t imagine it could be any better!

I was also really impressed with our chef, not just for the food but because he took the time to come out and speak with every single diner, joking and telling stories. He was so friendly and kind and seemed to make every person there feel special.

I’m so glad we wandered in here!

The food was absolutely amazing and definitely cooked with a lot of love! The vibrant owner and chef along with Mari make this place so welcoming, it’s a chilled atmosphere with some lovely artwork and plants.
This was the first place we ate at in Urubamba and it will definitely be hard to top this well rounded culinary experience😋
Highly recommend you give this place a go, I’m certain anything on the menu cooked by such a well travelled and down to earth man will please all of your senses. Thankyou for the nourishing experience and hospitality both of you 💚

By far the best dining experience I’ve had on my trip to Peru. A new menu is curated daily based on what ingredients are the freshest. The chef, who is also the owner delivers the most unique and delicious dishes. In order to deliver excellent service you they only allow a few groups at once so you must make a reservation and you will have to plan in advance to get one.

Absolutely a not too miss experience! You must make a reservation and be on time!
Eduardo is a master chef! Laura is a true mixologist!
There are many options for food with exquisite flavor! A true fusion of passion and food as medicine. I highly recommend allowing Eduardo to serve you his choice of dishes based on any restrictions.
The key lime dessert brought me to tears, if was so fresh and reminiscent of my grandmother's!
