Tiki Lounge Restaurant

Highly recommend coming here! Amazing food and great drinks made with fresh local ingredients. The view is stunning and worth the walk up (be sure to ring - the door is closed but they are open).

Perfect place to stop before/after visiting Sacsayhuaman.

Bonus: the local cooks are extremely friendly and fun to chat with.

I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the hostess was very nice, the room was clean, and the view was incredible, but you first have to trudge up 148 steps with all your baggage to get to it. Nobody answered the door when we rang and knocked and shouted. We had to use our precious overseas minutes to call before we were let in.

There is also something really wrong with the electricity--you recieve an electrical shock if you're tall and your head accidentally touches the shower head that says "do not touch" written in black Sharpie. When we turned our room light off, it continued to flicker on throughout the night. And the switch made a disturbing popping noise whenever we flicked it on our off.

Our room was separated from a room that looked like an office/children's playroom, with a crib and some toys on the floor, by a piece of unpainted plywood. We changed hotels after the first night.

I would recommend this place to young/fit people that want to save money and aren't planning on making many trips back and forth from the rest of Cusco.
