Llama Pack Project

We had an amazing experience hiking up to a community in the mountains with a group of llamas. Our guide, Agustin, was super friendly and knowledgeable, the llamas were very cute and funny (though it is not a petting zoo because they are semi wild animals), the views on the hike were breathtaking and we got to really talk with members of the small community as we were sharing a lunch with them. Very unique and beautiful experience!

Amazing experience!! You must do this if you are near the Sacred Valley area of Perú! One of the most interactive, peaceful, spiritually enlightening, nature-connected things I’ve gotten to do in my life. If you love llamas this is about as good as gets. Incredible opportunity to learn from native Quechua/Andean communities how to herd llamas and their way of life. Off the beaten path, not touristy but catered to tourists. Perfect authentic adventure combining Peruvian and Quechua knowledge and a beautiful example of how we can all work together to create a harmonious world. This project is super helpful to the natural land, the llamas, the natives, and for the tourist’s soul. I will treasure this memory forever and will definitely visit again if I’m in Perú on the future. The people that run this place are angels. Some of the nicest, most genuinely pure, loving humans I’ve ever met and I left this experience more inspired than ever to help make the world a better place. I am now convinced llamas are the perfect animal. Such gentle meditative beings. A unique experience you’ll never forget. As you can see in the picture, it is the perfect gift for your significant other if they love llamas!

This is an amazing project that creates a very unique lifetime experience. Herding llamas in the Sacred Valley of Urubamba in Cusco, Peru. The purpose of the project is to use Llamas to help the ecosystem’s sustainability.
You trek with a group of around 20 Llamas for an hour and spend time on a local picnic in the mountain. Just unforgettable!!

Non-profit trying to bread original llamas together with local families. They offer half day, full day and multi-day walks. We did the half day walk: start with introduction of the project and get to know the local people and the llama's which go along with the walk. Then a not to difficult 40 minute walk up the mountain. Followed by a lunch of potatoes, corn and beans prepared in a traditional way below hot stones. Then an easy 20 minutes back. An excellent experience, enjoyed the chance to speak with local people sticking to their traditional ways. The kids loved the interaction with the llama's.

We just returned from Peru and booked the Half day Llama Trek with Diego, who was excellent! The two Inca ladies who went with us and the Llamas, made us lunch and set up camp for us. On our way down, as I was sliding down the path (wrong shoes!), one of the ladies ran up and grabbed my hand, and walked me all the way back! Unbelievable experience! Something totally different and unique and so glad we did it!

Wow! So much fun! You take a beautiful tour up a mountain, learning about and playing with the llamas. The guides are excellent, and the scenery is amazing. Such a great adventure.

Wonderful experience with amazing animals in beautiful scenery, and the lunch was delicious; highly recommend!
