Plaza Mayor de Puno

Puno Plaza is clean, safe and simple, is a culture place that the local come to rest. Lovely church.

A beautiful and well kept park. Has a nice fountain. Surrounded by government buildings, the cathedral, and some cafes and restaurants. Has an ATM nearby. Lots of pigeon flying around. Could get a bit busy.

Puno is a lovely and relaxing place and the square is just so nice and cosy.

A great plaza to enjoy the cathedral and some great restaurants! We went to Mojsa and I had the Alpaca steak! Was delicious!

I love this tiny colonial style square.
It'a secure and clean which makes of this plaza a place to rest or to shot some pica of the local basilica minor.

Lovely church visited it on Xmas eve and Xmas day. It was lovely and the park outside was set up for Xmas as well.

Nice chill square

The tours to the Uros islands are a scam, be careful, and ask how much more are you going to spend once there. They keep pushing you to shop their crafts and want you to take another boat between islands...

Wonderful open area of Puno. A few places for good pictures. Many stores and restaurants in the streets surrounding this location. Bank machines etc too. Police visible often and very safe. A few street vendors or performers is normal too.

Had a great time in Puno. We stayed there a few days before moving on to Machu Picchu. Please pack your high altitude sickness meds. Coca leaves made me feel sicker but works for most. Also, always stay hydrated. Had a major headache most the time... The people were great, the hotel was quaint but had all we needed. Another thing, stray dogs are all over and you might step into some dog poo. Watch ur step.
