A small museum that takes you (rapidly) through 12000 years of Peru’s history, from their hunter-gatherer era to Inca to today.. It’s worth a visit or a stop-by on the way to Puno..

Small museum with unique pre-inca artefacts and pottery. We stopped here on a bus tour from Cusco to Puno as part of a guided tour. It was worth the stop. There's also a couple of cafes and a cathedral in the area, we spent about 15 minutes in the museum and another 15 in the cafe.

A small museum next to a archaeological site, a temple, with artefacts from pre Incan days, dating to 400BC. Stone carvings showing the Incan cross before the Incan exists!

Great little museum showing areas importance through out the history. Walking alone is a short trip, maybe 10 minutes but with a guide you can spend there 40-60 minutes and learn so much more.

Pukara is a little beautiful town and I was there for few hours during my Peru journey. But I remember the plaza de armaz, the church and the wonderful environment there.

A great community developed museum, containing mummies from the island from pre-inca times. Well curated and explained in Spanish and English.

muy bonito lugar si te gustan la historia, arqueologia y esas cosas y las entradas te permiten visitar el complejo que esta mas arriba tambien

Pouco comentado por turistas mas é um achado incrível. Muito rápido de visitar antes de entrar no sitio arqueológico e com peça líticas impressionantes.

Pequeño.museo en el.pueblito de Pukara, sencillo, cuenta con varias habitaciones con los descubrimientos arqueológicos en esa zona, cómo también la evolución de las culturas altiplanicas, lo más importante son unas figuras de tamaño natural con formas humanas y de animal en buen estado de conservación ( ver foto) el lugar cuenta con baño bastante limpio
