Museo Kuntur Wasi

Amazing collection of golden, ceramic, and other artifacts, with good explanation of the history of the site. Most of the audio and print is in Spanish but there is some English translation. Definitely worth a stop if you are interested in ancient Peruvian civilization and are in the area.

A small museum but definitely worth the visit with the artifacts found in the tombs of the Kuntur Wasi archaeological site. Some very fine antique golden jewelry. Mandatory visit before visiting the site of Kuntur Wasi itself if you want to get a grasp of its history

博物館には発掘された全てが展示されていてそれだけで感動する。
発掘物の美しさ、ペルーの人々の豊かさと自然の中での賢い生き方などを感じ取れる。また金細工の展示の素晴らしさとその量に圧倒される。
博物館と遺跡と堪能できる。
また北地方の遺跡の面白さ、ペルー文化を知る上で必ずちるべき場所であると思う。

Esta joya escondida recopila los hallazgos en un excelente sitio arqueológico de Cajamarca, muy poco publicitado en mi opinión. Joyas de oro y metales varios, cerámica y objetos artesanales componen este museo levantado con los ingresos de la exhibición hecha durante 10 años en Japón por la misión arqueológica de ese país que exploró Kuntur Wasi. Muy bien administrado por el pueblo adyacente. Cuenta con video introductorio y guía en el sitio.

Un lugar hermoso, tanto el museo como las ruinas. Sólo que no lo promocionan mucho o incluyen en los tours por ser lejos. Pero es una experiencia muy bonita.

¿Cómo llegar? : Del grifo Continental(así lo buscas en Google maps) salen colectivos a San Pablo(S/ 10), que es de donde se puede tomar una mototaxi hasta el museo de sitio(S/. 5), aunque recomendaría preguntar si te dejan cerca al museo de sitio, ya que algunos te dejan cerca.

Costos de Kuntur Wasi: Museo de sitio (S/.8 Adultos), complejo arqueológico Kuntur Wasi(S/. 4 Adultos).

Horario de atención: Toda la semana hasta las 6 pm(a esa hora se debe estar en la entrada del complejo arqueológico).

MUSEO: Cuenta con 3 salas, sin embargo, en la sala 3,no es posible tomar fotos.

COMPLEJO ARQUEOLÓGICO: El recorrido con guía dura aproximadamente entre 1:30 hora a 2:00 horas(dependerá bastante del clima y tiempo de las fotos)

Recomendaciones: Revisar el clima antes de ir, ya que en la fecha en la que fui empezó a llover y si bien es posible hacer el recorrido, no es tan recomendable. En caso si decidas ir en épocas de lluvia, la idea es ir preparado.
El costo de un guía turístico es de S/. 20 por persona y por recorrido, ya que si decides tomar el guía tanto para el museo, como por el Complejo Arqueológico, el costo será de S/. 40.
Los carros regresan de San Pablo a Cajamarca hasta las 6 pm.

Apreciación personal: Definitivamente el complejo arqueológico, como el museo de sitio son impresionantes. Sin embargo, el sitio arqueológico aún tiene mucho por trabajar, ya que si bien, lo recomiendo al 100%, es un lugar donde se ve expresado el trabajo conjunto entre la misión Japonesa, pobladores y sector público.
Tener en cuenta que el guía es un poblador de la zona, que en muchos casos apoyo con el trabajo de campo.

En caso decidas ir temprano, tomate tu tiempo en conocer el pueblo de San Pablo.

Le falta algo de información y me parece que debía de tener más difusión y facilidades para el.cceso de turistas.
