Definitely worth it. Super interesting, cool lifestyle dioramas, compelling replicas.Takes about an hour if you’re reading everything. Visited New Year’s Eve day and they were open.

Outstanding museum. Brillant overview of the development leading up to Inka

I thought this museum was simply the best in all of Peru. It gave the best breakdown of the prehistory times of Peruvian tribes that existed in the region. They had a great breakdown of each period m. Great wax statues as well.

So in depth, pretty large place! We absolutely loved the full-sized scenes they replicated. Beautiful.

Very nice place! Informative and lots of high tech and expensive experiences for visitors! Like beautiful reconstruction with original music, real stones and more. Def one of my fav experience in Peru.

Wonderful place to knowing the Inka culture since frisrt population until Spanish attack.

Fantastic life-like Andean cultural displays depicting the history and cultures of Peru with videos and great motion-activated music. After visiting the museum we went to the Urqos ruins, which are located 20 minutes away from the museum. Before that we trekked the amazing Arin waterfalls. We did these three places in 5 hours. Wonderful morning!

Great museum with information in English and Spanish and really cool displays on all of the pre-columbian Peruvian cultures

Great summary of pre-Incan Peru!

Possibly the best museum we have experienced. Well worth the admission (about $12 US). We spent several hours reading the history and enjoying the above average displays which expressed the cultures with life size characters and background music. It is a MUST see.

Very well organized and presented information in Spanish and English.
Goes through the main prior cultures in Peru in chronological order with supplemented with scenes of models of indigenous individuals in period costumes. Do not miss it!
