Went on Sunday morning to see the service. Would recommend going even if you are not religious. Recently rebuilt and the architecture and decor is absolutely stunning.

The lord of Luren Church is one of Ica’s most popular sight, It was on 2007 when the temple suffered great damage caused by a catastrophic earthquake where many people died and got hurt, nowadays it has been rebuild and it’s even more beautiful than it used to be, on the back part of the church there is a museum which narrates all the history and the process of reconstruction.

I am under the impression this is all new construction after the 2007 earthquake, but the reconstruction is still so beautiful and amazing to look at. I wandered in and out quickly during a quick city tour, but was truly amazed at the detail in the walls, ceiling, and the shear size of it all.

I visited in 2021 July, located in Ica, absolutely breath taking, so beautiful , happened that there was a mass services when I walked in, felt like meant to be , a total blessing, recommended for sure!
