El Catador

El Viejo Catador was great throughout the whole experience. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly. It had great presentation and everything tasted delicious. The restaurant had beautiful decor and it was super clean. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are touring through Ica. You won't be disappointed!

Went here as part of our peru hop stop and loved the little lady who took us on the tour around the place and gave us some samplings of their products. Very informative and tasty! Make sure to try their ice creams!

The food was great. Big place with plenty of room. Went during the week so it was not busy at all. Accommodated our big party easily.

Free tour with Peru Hop. Interesting to know the difference between worldwide wine producers. We had free wine and pisco tasting as well, no hard selling from staff, we bought 2 bottles as these were excellent value. No credit card charges from merchant.

We stopped here with Peru hop. Often at stops like this you feel guilt tripped into buying, but El Catador was awesome. They give you so many testers so you can try before you buy or try simply for the experience. They gave us a short but sweet tour of how they make their Pisco and wine which was really interesting, our guide was amazing, super funny and informative. A good place to stop over and stretch your legs.

Good food and staffs. We had lunch here during the ballestas island and boarding tour.

We stopped by here after our visit to Tacama. Our guide took us on a little tour around the back and gave us tastings of all their products. The facility wasn’t as large, as nice, or as modern as Tacama. However it felt more local to Peru. Plus, our guide was awesome. He’s very passionate about the vine and wad a lot of fun. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Cool tour! We came with Peru Hop. Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny, you could really tell he genuinely loves his job.

The tastings were great! Small and very unique tastes, but I enjoyed it.

Our favorite was the cream pisco.

Afterwards, we went to the little ice cream stand and got ice cream with the cream pisco topping. Yummmmmmmmm 😋

Good food and great Pisco

Beautiful tastery for wine and pisco and a tour on how it's made there for decades or even longer. Also provide good meals (large portions!) and reasonable prices. The homemade chocolate are a treat

Great history behind such a humble and quiet place.

Very intersting visit in the winery. Learnt a lot about the manufacturing process from a good guide who had a very good English and sense of humor. I liked the wine which is very fruity and sweet compare to many other varieties and brands

Excellent food. The atmosphere is one of a kind. They have a great selection of drinks made with pisco. They have a tasting presentation accompanied with popular toasts.
