Hyatt Place Panama City/Downtown

Rooms are huge, very comfortable and spotless.
There's a small coffee machine with some free coffee.
I have to say that the best thing is the breakfast, so many options and so delish!
The only downside is that we arrived at 5 am and only at 7 am were we offered an early check in. They could've said that as soon as we made it. But all in all, the place is really good.

This hotel was fantastic. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The room was very clean. The hotel had a cute rooftop pool. Centrally located so we could walk to different things if we wanted. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I’m very happy with my choice to stay with this hotel. The only frustrating thing was the traffic due to their being a fire a few days prior to our arrival. Normally a 10 minute Uber ride to the local mall was an hour.

Very nice breakfast with options for all options for international visitors.

The only real downside is the proximity to some type of club that was playing loud music that could be heard inside the room until the early morning hours. Having stayed in different rooms, the direction your room faces will likely determine if this noise is an issue.

We arrived at the hotel at 12:30pm and were told to leave our car at the entrance; it would be parked by a valet. Then, we were immediately checked in by David (no waiting till 3pm!!!). He was very nice, super friendly, and even gave us an upgrade at no additional cost. While checking in, we were greeted with a welcome-cocktail. What a pleasant experience!
Our room was big and comfortable, with a separate living/office area. The TV is situated on a swivel base and can be watched from the sofa as well as from the bedroom area.
The bathroom is quite big; the shower has a much appreciated sitting corner, there are plenty of towels (even face cloths), nothing is missing.
The lighting is well thought-out, the bedside lamps even have electrical outlets.
Everything is nicely decorated and very clean, and all the staff is very attentive.
The buffet breakfast could have had a few more items, but it was good.
Last but not least, check-out is until 1pm!

I had a great experience at this hotel when I stayed a couple nights in early October. Check-in was easy, the room was very nice with a good view (I was on the 14th floor) and included a mini fridge to chill water (which was needed for the hot and humid days I was in Panama). The rooftop pool is nice, although not large, but offers even better views of the city. It is very close to El Carmen metro station (1 block) and also easy for taxis/rideshares. The staff were excellent, especially Paola (I believe that was her name) who worked the bar and restaurant; she deserves a raise for her hard work and great service! I will definitely stay here again when I return to Panama.

Very nice and friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice rooftop pool and gym, room were top notch and the view was awesome (I stayed at floor 11). I love that there were plenty of clean towels and the king size bed was super comfortable. Everything I expected from a 4 star hotel.

Great hotel! The rooms were really nice considering the pretty low price. The coffee maker and capsules in the room were also a nice touch.

My stay was incredible, the staff very attentive, the facilities excellent, especially my room (incredible) comfortable, clean and a spectacular view. The location is super good, close to everything and very central.
It has a roof terrace with a beautiful view.
In general season, this is the place I would always return to in Panama, the price-quality ratio is the best!

We had a great time staying at this hotel Room was surprisingly spacious with a stunning view. Well kept, modern and clean. Location was very convenient to get to most attractions in the nearby area. Breakfast buffett had a variety of delicious foods to choose from. Staff was always helpful and accommodated special requests, as well as provided recommendations on local entertainment, directions prices etc...

The rooms are nice - sitting area and two queens. If you are a Hyatt Passport member they really try to take good care of you. We received a nice welcome note and snacks in our room. The breakfast area is large. Snack counter is nice when you want something fast. We found the rooms quiet and clean.

Great location downtown - walking distance to the metro & places to eat. Great service. They accommodated vegetarians & vegans well. Let them know in advance if you are vegan. The breakfast buffet is good. Nice views. Get a higher floor room. The pool is small so not very useful. They have a fitness room. Decent 24 hour menu to order from. They provide 2 bottles of water complimentary.

Great hotel, enjoyed our stay here. We paid extra for breakfast through Expedia and it was worth it. The breakfast is awesome; fresh fruit, yogurt, variety of breads, egg station, cheese and meats, cereal. The staff is helpful and smiling and the senior staff and front desk people speak English. The hotel is walking distance from a metro station and about a 15 minutes walk from the main street that runs parallel to the ocean ( Avenue Balboa). Calle Uruguay is a 5-7 minutes walk. Only thing I'd like a fellow traveler to know is that the hotel doesn't provide free lotion so load up on that from home. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.

My first trip to Panama City. Spent 3 night at the Hyatt place downtown. The room was excellent. The food and service was excellent All the staff from the front desk to the house keeper the tour service guys in the lobby went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and wanted. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels around the world. This was the first time I have not had one problem. I very highly recommend anyone going to Panama City stay here 👍👍

Very nice and cool refuge in this hot city. Near the University and the shore. Most of the front desk staff spoke fluent English and were helpful. Good breakfast may or may not be included depending on how you booked. Nice pool and gym.

Had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt hotel in Panama City. The room was immaculate and had a stunning view of the skyscrapers. The rooftop features a small pool and seats, perfect for watching the sun set over the city. The staff were warm and inviting as well as the tour guides available on sight. The cappuccinos and martinis were excellent. The room service was also great. Within walking distance you will find casinos, restaurants, malls and convenience stores. I would definitely stay here again, next time I visit Panama!

Great hotel in Business District of Panama city

Excellent Choice... Roomy accommodations, nice and clean and minutes away from some rather interesting nightlife, but fun. However, the breakfast buffet was awful, so spend the extra 6 bucks and go to the RUI Panama for Breakfast....
It was Awesome.

The hotel only opened a couple of years back and a category one property within the Hyatt system. We had a three nights stay to visit families and friends here. Location is very good, close to the metro station Iglesia Del Carmen. Many drinking and eating places nearby as well. Staff was courteous, competent and professional in handling guests checking in or out. We got a deluxe room on the 11th floor with plenty of windows. Comfy bed with strong WIFI. The hotel was very quiet except on Friday and Saturday nights when the night club across the street had the thumping drum beats loud into the wee hours. Get a really high floor room, or room on opposite side of the street, to avoid this noise issue if you are a light sleeper.
Overall, a very good place to set up base in Panama city, Panama.

The room was very large and comfortable, but the staff made everything perfect. It's been along time since I have stayed at a hotel where the staff was so attentive and friendly. Thanks for the great stay in Panama
