Marriott Executive Apartments Panama City, Finisterre

All in all the five-star experience. I only wish I had moved into this hotel at the beginning of my 11-day stay. I moved from another Marriott property after 6 days and spent five nights at this hotel.

The room is enormous and very comfortable. I was put on the 12th floor with an amazing view. Climate control worked perfectly although it was not adjustable. Thank God it was already set on an Arctic 65° f temperature.

Swimming pool and gym or top notch. I only wish there were blinds in the gym because going in the afternoon means some directly in your face on all of the cardio equipment. Swimming pool is large and sparkling clean as is the hot tub.

Parking is free and quite safe inside the hotel garage.

Most of the staff at the front desk or extremely friendly and helpful. However a surprising number of employees do not speak English adequate to communicate with tourists.

For my purposes, the location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. And the hotel restaurant far exceeded my expectations.

Check in was effortless. And there is essentially no check out, you just leave like most hotels.

There is laundry on every floor. And the process worked well for me, but it is oddly complex. The front desk keeps a limited number of laundry machine payment cards. If the payment card is already checked out but the machine is vacant, it's impossible to use the machine. I strongly recommend rethinking that process.

If I'm in Panama City again, this will definitely be my preferred lodging.

It was just what we needed. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff was polite, friendly, and helpful. They even sent me a slice of cake for my birthday!:)
The breakfast was great, they had American and Panamanian food. Ate dinner there once, wasn't too impressed.The hotel was not too far away from all the places we needed to go. There were restaurants in walking distance, and the neighborhood felt safe.
I was especially impressed with the security. Loved that noone could get to another floor without their hotel key card. I would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed this hotel option as well as the staff. They were very accommodating with our needs, very welcoming, fun and friendly. The check in staff, esp Dawayne, are happy and versitle in their positions, ready to step in and help even in a service that isn’t their job. The location is very central in Panama City, whether you are doing tourism or business, which in our case was both. Also easy for walking to restaurants.

Excellent hotel for long term stays in Panama City.

The view from the hotel is great (both sides).

The studio room I stayed in was very large and comfortable, with a living room office and kitchen (stovetop, microwave, toaster, fridge and plenty of plates/utensils/cookware .

The breakfast is very good and the cook was happy to oblige any special requests.

The pool is nice (large enough for a quick workout) with lots of space for sun bathing.

The fitness area is decent for a quick cardio workout or some basic dumbbell exercises. Would be a bit crowded if three or four people were in at the same time. Theres also a sauna and a rear patio with some artificial grass area.

The location is excellent with easy access to transportation, aswell as many excellent restaurants nearby (we went to as many restaurants as we could find and I would challenge you to find a bad one, they were all excellent). The grocery (ribba) is well within walking distance and has anything you might need. There’s also a bank and a pharmacy right next door. With a short drive / taxi / bus ride (or even a 20-30min walk) you can get to some fantastic shopping (either Albrook mall or multi plaza).

Just south of the hotel is an excellent recreation area with basketball courts, baseball Diamond, soccer nets, tennis courts, outdoor fitness equipment and a great walking/running/back king path along the coast.

I’m hard pressed to find any negatives about this hotel, I would say for the price it is excellent value. Is it a luxury hotel…no but is comfortable, clean and safe in an excellent location absolutely.
the only thing I would say is the laundry is a bit inconvenient (you need to get a prepaid card from the front desk that must be returned when finished, which is a bit annoying.)

Overall excellent value, great location and extraordinary staff make this a good location if you’re in Panama City for an extended period of time for travel or work.

Excellent hotel in a prime location, The rooms are really good big neat and clean well organised. The staff is cooperative and helpful. Best place to stay, it's in the heart of Panama City within skypers. The surroundings are beautiful and elegant. Just a little walk away there is a beach and fully loaded with tourists. Panama City has grown up to a standard level.

The service was excellent. The location has many good restaurants and bars. It is very close to the metro and is a $12 ride to old town.

Great location. The staff is wonderful. From the front desk, to the restaurant and even the housekeeping staff are all top notch. Couldn’t recommend more! And the rooms and the pool are spectacular!

it was one of the best welcome I've ever had in my travels! I made a last minute booking because I had to take my daughter to the hospital near the hotel. the staffs and the manager were very kind and super professional in a difficult time for my wife and me. The manager upgraded my booking by giving me a family room where our daughter could have all the comforts !!! Thanks I will never forget this great gesture of generosity and kindness towards us !!!
The restaurant was excellent and the Bar serving great cocktail and you have a small store where you can buy small things for bringing in the room!! Super!!!! Thanks Marriott's Staff!!

We stayed in two rooms (left for a night in between) and both rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with great views. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, but the hot water was a bit sporadic.

We loved the El Cangrejo neighbourhood. Lots of great restaurants to check out nearby - our favourites were Los Tacos de Villa & the Aquelarre Taproom. The hotel is also a short walk to the waterfront and the Cinta Costera coastal walkway. It was around a $4 USD taxi/Uber to visit tourist sites like Casco Viejo, Ancon Hill, Panama Viejo, etc.

The people working here are the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered. They went the extra mile over and over. I was traveling with a child, and she was sick in the lobby. I offered to clean it, but they insisted not, ran to get us waters, called the room and hour later to check on us, and sent mint tea with a get well note to the room. Additionally the rooms are extremely large, which was nice. Highly recommend.

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon. We don't have a lot of money, but this place made us feel like a king and queen. The apartment was nice - it had a great view, a tiny kitchen, a king sized bed, and two pullouts. We spent every morning at the gym (which isn't great), and poolside (which is great), getting our tan on. Everyone at reception was really warm and welcoming; they helped us figure out where to go while we were there, what areas to stay out of, where we could get groceries, and they made recommendations on restaurants and sightseeing. I even got a phone call at one point during my stay where the receptionist asked if there was anything they could do better to make our stay more comfortable.

I highly recommend this place - it's great bang for your buck, it's super central, and the staff is amazing!

This place is very nice. Very friendly and helpful front desk receptionist. Yonaira, John & all the staff go out of their way to assist. Rooms are always clean, security always in place. I would not hesitate to recommend others. The location is really within walking distance of several eating and shopping places. The cleaning staff are very accommodating. 👍❤

We were greeted warmly on checkin by Fernando and for the month we spent there he never failed to greet us by name. When we needed information he and John especially were a fountain of knowledge.
Our room was spacious and quiet and the maid was friendly and efficient. The location being across the street literally to a bus stop to the bus terminals, mall or Casio Viejo was so convenient. The metro or subway station was two blocks away.
Overall a great experience and will definitely stay there again.

It's the best hotel ever I have been too.

I have been staying at Panama hotels since the late 90s. This is by far the best one on most levels. I chose a 1 bedroom since I intended to cook often & didn't want to sleep in the kitchen essentially. The room is spacious & modern--and quite inexpensive for what you get. The description of the amenities in & out of the room on all websites is accurate. I think the room actually looks better in person than in the pictures. My problem with wifi got resolved quickly & efficiently, though I was skeptical. Initially my only criticism was that non-stick pans would be easier to clean & cook with since it was difficult to use the pans provided w/o needing to use excessive oil. Obviously someone read my review & a whole set of brand non-stick pans was delivered to my room the following day! OMG. What great service! In short, the service is friendly, helpful, & truly bilingual. The pool is excellent in size and its location offers great views of the city. It's always empty too, which I find puzzling but that makes it nice for relaxing. The fitness room is very basic but it's fine. The proximity to the train & the El Rey supermarket makes this location ideal. The area also looks & feels safe. On my first night I walked to a large local park which is fewer than 5 minutes away. I even got a little lost on the way back and wandered for a while but I felt safe. At this park I could easily exercise in the early morning or late evening when it's not so hot. Others were out there doing so. Then I walked three minutes farther to Avenida Balboa which is very lively with joggers, skateboarders, bikers, families, & young couples strolling especially when the sun sets & heat dies down. I didn't pay for the buffet breakfast which is not the same as the "breakfast Included" deal because I intended to cook & didn't want to start every day feeling obligated to eat a huge meal as I did at The Hard Rock two years ago. Everyday I have ridden the nearby train to travel around the city or gone to Avenida Balboa or to the cafe at the El Rey supermarket on Via Espana for outstanding coffee & friendly service. I'm very happy here and whenever I am visiting family or riding around the city, I look forward to coming back to the hotel to hang out in the beautiful room or go to the pool or eat snacks I leave in the fridge. I love it here. If anyone who works for the hotel is reading this, I want to say THANK YOU for making this visit so pleasant. Since I have a lot of family here I know I will return. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.
