Holiday Inn Panama Canal

The place is really well kept together and well-maintained, breakfast was amazing. I recommended completely it’s fantastic and it also has a whole bar to.
The front desk clerk was very helpful and also was bilingual, I was only there for one night, and I got in pretty late, but they have a pool that you can use that I saw a few people in which makes me think it’s very clean.
My room was a little humid, but that’s just the temperature, but it smelled a little musky, either the smell went away, or I got used to it. The king size room was massive. My voice literally echoed in it I was there alone. The front desk, and also help you with taxi services in whatever you need.

Great location. The food is amazing. The breakfast is well worth the stay. Great place!

Location is far from shops and town however you have a great view of the Panama canal and can walk there in 15mins

Although we stayed here back in 2014 when we were coming to meet our future son in law, now that we live here in Clayton, we find it a perfect place to take photos of ships coming through the Mira Flores locks on the Panama Canal. A friend had a sister who was on this ship so we came down and took pictures to send to her. When we stayed then, in 2014, it was quite lovely! Beautiful place with a perfect view of The Canal!

This is a lovely hotel, basic but well kept. We reserved the only suite in the hotel which gave us a separate sitting area with a TV and a small fridge. We loved the option of a fridge for cold drinks and water without having to go down to buy them. We were at first disappointed as our suite had no view of the Panama Canal. However, we quickly realized that it also insulated us from the traffic noise from the trains, ships and busy road in front of the hotel. We took the breakfast package and did most of our dining at the hotel in the Ship View Restaurant. The food was always good although some buffet items could have been hotter, but there was a decent selection of fruit, pastries, cold cuts and hot items. Dinners were good and the dining area was quiet except at breakfast buffet. I cannot say enough good things about the staff, always helpful, personable and busy. After day 2, they greeted us by name, always smiling….nice people. This is the only hotel in the last 6 months that we have seen the staff wearing masks ALL the time (Puerto Viejo and Bejuco in Costa Rica as well as a resort in Ixtapa, Mexico were not as diligent). It is not convenient for being out and about as it is not close to a lot of attractions and we did not rent a car. The only downside.

Perfect for our less than 24 hour stay! It's a short 5 minute uber ride from miraflores visitor center. It served its purpose. We just needed somewhere to stay overnight until our flight to Bocas Del Toro. It's a short 10minute drive from Albrook Airport.

Great breakfast and staff. Rooms were a little damp. Pool was cute, perfect for the kids.

I had an awesome stay at the Holiday Inn Panama Canal. The staff was super helpful! The room was clean and neat, you do have to put your room card in this slot/basket thing to get the lights to work. I went to dinner at a place very close to the hotel and it was delicious, the receptionist recommended it. The breakfast at the hotel had a wide selection of food to choose from. Overall great stay! Would definitely stay again. One thing to add, there is no airport shuttle, but I took an Uber from the airport and it was about $25.

Outstanding service.I just came back from an amazing vacation in Panama - and a big part of the reason it was amazing was because I stayed at the Holiday Inn Panama Canal . From the minute we arrived, everyone was extremely friendly. everything is perfect.Location is amazing - we are walking distance from everything we needed like restaurants and shopping. Staff are on hand to help with chairs, drinks, lunch, or whatever else you might need. The pool is also awesome. I can't forget to mention here enjoying the panoramic view of The Panama Canal from room.I have already recommended this hotel to my friends, and I am looking forward to my next stay.

Extremely friendly, fairly inexpensive. Had a small Irish Pub on the property that was very nice. Excellent service and took care of my needs. Also, just a wee bit down the street was a wonderful Tavern. Wish I remembered the name, but the food and drinks were excellent. Very close to Panama Canal, New City, Panama and Old City, Panama. There is also a mall, Albrook Mall very close to the location. Best way to avoid city driving and environment with staying close enough to take advantage of it.

While I am a HI member I did not stay at this hotel in Panama, however when my hotel was totally unhelpful I came here for information. Ethan was a wealth of knowledge and help. He answered all our questions gratefully and thoroughly, He gave us tourist brochures and answered questions we could not get answered anywhere else. I would stay here if I come back it is out of the big city but near enough to get most anywhere easily. It was clean and well represented. Good Job Ethan!!

Great location, very clean rooms, and friendly bilingual staff. A special thank you to Ramses for helping my husband and I out in a pinch! I had mistakenly booked for two nights in February when I meant to book for January.
I realized my mistake at the front desk, and Ramses very quickly found us a nice room, even during an extremely busy time. A true professional!

Nice place. Cozy. Good for mariners who coming to join vessel as it is very near from port balboa. Very nice view of panama canal. Good staff. You get free welcome drink card. Very clean rooms. Nice elevator.

One of the best hotel in Panama , A view of the ship traversing the canal can be experienced from here.
Sun rising above the mountains and a view of palm tree along gives the soothingness.

Food is very nice , hygienic and delicious
Though a little far from the airport , it would take around 30 mins drive on a two lane highway

People are friendly, and make you feel welcome. This is ideal when you travel for a living, it provides a sense of "home" when you have no place to call home. My only complaint that restaurants close early around the hotel, and I am use to have late dinners.

Great Hotel near Allbrook Airport.
We were heading to Bocas del Toro after Panama City and wanted to stay close to the Allbrook Airport. The hotel exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. Our rate included the breakfast buffet, which was excellent. We did not have a Panama Canal view from the room, but you get an awesome view of the Canal just by standing in front of the hotel.
