The most popular place in town to get chicheme, a famous corn-based drink served cold. They also have foods, all small items ready to go. Delicious items like sausages, tortillas and other fried items. Also boiled items like tamales. I highly recommend the fried strips of beef. I also recommend the bollos preñados which are ground maize wrapped in leaves with your choice of chicken or pork.

This is very likely the main tourist attraction in town, bringing people from all over the country. Note that the chicheme is orginally from this hometown, so the taste may change if you travel further into the interior of the country. So while you are here, take advantage of this drink in its original form. The bollos preñados also originate from our hometown.

This place serves food strictly to go. There are no tables or dining area to unpack your purchase. The area in front fits only a few cars. The place may be small but it is a giant cultural landmark in the hearts of many townspeople like myself.

I've known this place for over 40 years, but they have been in business for way over that long. It still one of the staples places for Panamanian authentic tipical finger foods.
This place is so good and so busy that you can rest assured that you'll be eating relatively fresh food.
A must stop if you are in Chorrera
