Huge, clean, franchise rest stop on the main highway. Due to the grandeur of this place, it has quickly become a popular stop for people on a trip toward the interior of the country. It is a professionally designed facility serving a menu of foods that will look familiar to anyone, whether local or foreigner. A visitor will find common candies, franchise pizza, cold package foods ready to go, typical panamanian creole foods, along with clean restrooms, large parking lot and fuel station. Once you experience this place, it will continue to pull you like a magnet.

Although I see the value of this luxurious place, part of me feels a slight heartbreak knowing that this will veer people away from smaller food establishments. Although this franchise does offer good creole food, it simply cannot compare to the small eateries nearby along the way. A search on the map for nearby eateries will show you places with amazing food very popular with the local crowd. With that said, feel free to frequent this franchise, but make sure to also experience the local eateries for their exquisite local flavor. This is, after all, la chorrera.

I came here by 3am. I was heading to the countryside. I have to admit this store is far beyond from others. Everything clean and every thing is available. In the other hand, Va &Ven located between Panama and Colon alongside the highway smells really bad inside the store. There most be moisture problems inside the ventilation from air conditioning.

Great rest stop, gas station & restaurant along the Panamerican. It's a chain, of course, so don't miss Quesos Chela if you want an authentic Panamanian experience - it's a bakery with homemade cheeses and empanadas, juices, etc.

Nice place to stop and use bathrooms, or eat and drink. Some prices are higher than a normal grocery and all food is fried.
