Beautiful hike, we caught a bit of rain and it was refreshing! I would recommend proper shoes to hike in. We had our baby so we didn't do the Cruz trail, the other two we went on were easy hikes. Very relaxing!

Loved it!! It’s a very nice place to visit. The views are great. I didn’t do any hiking because the hiking to the Cruz looked very high. The areas are kept clean and is a great to drive by and enjoy! There are cabins to rent!

Spectacular views of the Chame bay. Some of the oldest mountains in Panama. Lots of birds. There are some easy trails to walk. Others are more challenging, like La cruz trail.

Very nice views, beautiful vegetation. Its a wild adventure if you go and it starts to rain. BUT there were not good signals of the trails. And the administration building can't be easily recognized. Maybe if we had their guide, we would have made it to Cerro La Cruz. I recommend going early, before noon, so you can take your time and enjoy more. If you follow the trails, I think there's no risk of getting lost.

This is beautiful tropical montane cloud forests, with great trails and sometimes present park rangers. We stayed for a night and never ran into one.

Excellent place with beautiful views to take pictures. Would be good if someone open any restaurant nearby, if you go there you will be on your own and your map, there is no signals in the road, you need go and explore or take a guided tour.

Its a must nature place to visit in the outside of Panama. Time in route is nothing in compare of what you get!

We hiked the Sendero la Cruz trail. Great, quiet trail in the forest going up and down the hills. Quite challenging at some places, requires a good command of your body and a good balance. It had been raining, so the trail was slippery as well. View from the end point of the trail is spectacular!

Stunning views and amazing 1.30 min hike just a one hour drive from Panama city. Take the road to Chica, it has a lot of curves so be ware. There are different paths, we took one of the most challenging which is sendero la Cruz. It might be easier on dry season, but after rain it can be slippery. Some parts high up you have to hike with a cable (which is already there). The path is marked, although getting to the right path was difficult as we didn't understood the signs. There is a sign with the name of the sendero at the entrance of it. Then is straight forward, the trees are marked. I loved the trip and would go many more times, but maybe not if it rains too much the day before.

Sendero la Cruz is my favorite hike, which is within a reasonable distance from the city. It's difficult, but the view from up at the cross is beautiful! Go early to see tucans and sloths! Go around the rock with the cross (to the left) and there is a rope attached to help you to climb up to the cross.

If you feel like disconnecting without driving more that a day, then this is where you can... You can walk all the trails and habe a great hike with a foggy and cool weather!
