Museo El Caño

Interesting tour of a civilization in Panama around 700 AD. These are burial tombs that feature several classes within the social structure and an in progress dig of the jefe (Chief) burial plot.

The museum has several artifacts and a brutal story on how the tribe treated their enemies and their families.

The tour guide speaks Spanish only, however the archeological manager speaks English.

I loved our visit in Museo El Caño in Nata, Cocle. The environment is quite and the museum staff is very friendly, there is no restaurant nearby apart from those in the town, visit this place is like being in the area where historic objects are found in the outdoors and not a building with air conditioning and electric stairs! I prefer outdoors!

A little gem. It should be on everyone's 'must-do' in Panama. The guide was very informative. I do hope they can expand. The archeologists are working collaboratively with the towns - great to see.

This place deserves a to be in every tourist itinery to Central Provinces of Panama. The Foundation is making an extraordinary effort to discover, analize, document and preserve the legacy of the ancient culture that built this
Necropolys.

Rich in history and science. However, it need more government and private investing to improve structures and services to the community.

Kind of sparse but very interesting. We need more of this in Panama!

Excelente lugar para conocer un poco más de la historia de Panamá y sus ancestros. Recomendable ir en grupo y ser acompañado por el guía

Es un lugar con mucha historia. Cuenta con un pequeño museo, guía, amplia área para recorrer. Les recomiendo llevar repelente pues es un área con bastante vegetación y humedad, además de que para disfrutar de una experiencia de excavación de las huacas, se debe ir en verano.
El acceso es gratis, sólo se requiere indicar la edad.
La carretera es accesible para autos sedanes en adelante, está a 2km de la panamericana.

Interesante la informacion y hallazgos. Los guías excelente atención. Sugerencia impulsar más el turismo, inyectar presupuesto para denotar más esta zona arqueológica.

Un lugar pequeño pero hermoso, con abundante historia.
Necesitamos que el gobierno le meta mano, hay tanto que explorar aún, tanto q descubrir, el museo necesita aire acod. Lo ví pero estaba apagado, no se si es que estaba dañado o que pero es muy caluroso.
El Perdon espectacular, el guía esta muy preparado, puedes preguntra lo que desees y lo responderá... Y cuando cuenta la historia, uno se traslada al pasado.
La verdad me encantó.

ese lugar es lo maximo, lo unico que hay una abundante cantidad de mosquitos, y asi mismo una abundante cantidad de historia por conocer, la verdad nunca habia visto tumbas de ningun tipo abiertas y con los restos fosiles a la vista

Es un lugar increíble, dónde se puede aprender de la historia del pasado de una forma Interesante. Se recomienda en verdad.
