Pretty great actually.

Rented a pretty new sedan for 3 weeks via a (German) booking agency. All insurance was via the agency, not directly with Thrifty. Thrifty accepted all insurance without any attempt to upsell their own.

Due to a flat tire I had to use the spare tire from the trunk. All the equipment was there so the change was swift. Best thing: Thrifty did not charge anything for the damage on the original tire or the use of the emergency tire.

I can give a full recommendation!

Was scared by reading previous comments, but very pleasantly surprised by reality. The service was absolutely professional. Desk staff with perfect english, hospitable and helpful. Cars were almost new, I rented T. Corolla (56 000 km) for 14 days - price very competitive. Return was a fastie and without unnecessary hassle. I definitely recommend the Thrifty office at Tocumen.

I have rented from this thrifty multiple times and always have had a great experience. Do yourself a favor and get insurance while you drive in Panama. Liability insurance is the law and it is usually $17-20 a day in Panama, so expect to pay it. I always get the full insurance and its like $35 a day for an SUV. You can also use your credit cards insurance but must bring a letter fro the card company and you still must put down a deposit of $2,000 or more on your CC. This is because they hold your deposit until your card company pays if anything happens to the vehicle and you leave the country. I see so many reviews from people surprised by the fact that they have to pay for insurance. No your insurance form your home country does not work in Panama. No! if you rent a car on expedia and buy their coverage it does not cover you in Panama. Different country with different rules. Skip all the bs, be prepared to pay a cheap price for the base fare and alot for insurance. Enjoy your trip!

Onestamente ci siamo trovati bene. La macchina era nuovissima (Jimmy 4x4) e ben accessoriata. Eravamo consapevoli che a Panama l’assicurazio e può essere costosa ma tutto sommato il prezzo totale era buono. Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile ed il processo di consegna e riconsegna dell’auto molto rapido. Lo consiglierei assolutamente.

Bon accueil. Lorsque nous avons précisé que nous allions au port prendre le bateau pour les San Blas, nous avons été conseillé de prendre une autre voiture 4x4, merci du conseil.
Pas de problème pendant les 3 semaines de location et restitution rapide.

Nous étions méfiants avec tous les commentaires négatifs que nous avions lus mais cette location nous a réservée de très bonnes surprises. Le prix de le prix de l'assurance obigatoire était celui indiqué. Nous avons eu une voiture parfaite avec peu de kilomètres et surclassés. Aucun problème que ce soit pour la prise en charge ou la restitution. Personnel souriant et disponible.
Agence que nous recommandons.
Pour info nous avons rendu la voiture propre et avions fait le plein d'essence juste avant de la rendre.

Excelente instalaciónes en el aeropuerto de Tucumán Panamá.bastante amplio en sus dos terminales y su sistema del metro muy acertado ya que comunica el aeropuerto con la ciudad de Panamá

Autos bien alineados, bien balanceados, buen a/c
Pre-pago combustible, full cobertura para manejar sin estrés, solo recubro los asientos con sábanas para que se siente mi perro. Nunca he tenido percances. No tengo queja

Excelente atención, buenos autos y costos económicos

Debo resaltar la honestidad de esta Sucursal, y mas allá de reconocer, que el vehículo que me arrendaran, se encontraba en perfectas condiciones y su precio fue menor, inclusive, al de otras firmas comerciales (unidad automotor con escasos kilómetros, utilizada en carretera y por largos trayectos, sin presentar ninguna anomalía para su conducción).
Retomo en cuanto al valor de la decencia que me deparasen, dado que existieron divergencias en las sumas de dinero acordadas, pero con el decoro en brindar la información precisa y real entre ambos, hemos podido determinar, que el yerro actual pesa sobre la tarjeta de crédito utilizada.
Mi agradecimiento público, a la Srta. Rosalia Gil. Su dedicación al asunto, fue más allá de lo común y habitual que nos depara cualquier actividad comercial de estos días. Muchas gracias. -
