Loved this cute restaurant in old town and can see why it made a lot of the top recommendations friends had given us. It was impeccable food. We loved the delicious lemony rich bone broth, cocktails, fried chicken. Everything had nice flavour, presentation and texture.

Recommended to all! Even going out to the bar for a drink and dance after dinner.

Lo Que Hay delivered an outstanding dining experience! The tuna tostada was exceptional - crunchy tortilla, flavorful tuna, and a perfect balance of textures. The LQH fried chicken was a delight, with a spice-crusted skin that left us craving more. The presentation was beautiful. This restaurant is a must-visit for an excellent dinner. Highly recommended!

One of the most delightfully different meals I have ever eaten.
The spices and flavor combinations are not worth missing.
An intimate and unique space with affordable prices.

I was looking for local Panamanian food and a friend who lives here recommended this place.. although from what I understand it's veered a little from serving authentic local dishes and is now more of a fusion restaurant to accommodate the palettes of tourist, but I really enjoyed it.. literally everything we ordered was so good and very generous portions, we took the leftovers.. service was great, great ambiance and location.. very reasonably priced. Their menu is seasonal so they didn't have some of the items I wanted to try, but very impressed and enjoyed everything nonetheless..

Popular restaurant with fusion flavors. Reservations are accepted and highly recommended. We tried going here for dinner without one on Friday and it was a 40 minute wait so we came back for lunch with a reservation on a different day. We had the tuna and the pork belly. For dessert, we got the raspado with passion fruit syrup (it’s an extra charge if you want additional syrups). The flavors in all the dishes were strong and I especially liked the pork belly for the mix of crunchy and chewy. WiFi is available. Indoor and outdoor seating. Credit cards accepted. Single occupant gendered restrooms available. The vibes are casual. The menu changes based on what ingredients are available that day.

We had a fabulous meal here! Amazing food in such a fun space. I would recommend going with a group of people and ordering a few things off the menu to share because there is just so much to try! Definitely try the sexy clams - our group favorite!

Amazing Fusion Restaurant! Deserved to be on official LATAM 50 Best! My favorite restaurant in Panama City.
Nice cozy atmosphere, great service and delicious food! Everything we had was at least a “8/10”. Tuna Crostada appetizer was my favorite. The Sexy Clams (official name) and the sauce were super flavorful. Fried chicken was good but the mashed potatoes could have better texture

We really enjoyed the creativity of the different dishes that this restaurant offers. We mainly ordered vegetarian dishes (except for the shrimp cocktail), and we liked the most the veggie wrap (a wrap made of lettuce leaves, very original!). As a dessert, we had the Raspao and we were very surprised with its delicious taste.

The best food I have ever had! I don’t know how they are able to make such seemingly simple dishes explode with dynamic flavor. They nailed every aspect of the meal. Everything I tried was the best of that thing I ever had in my life. I cannot express how truly extraordinary the food was. The service was good but not great. The prices were relatively good (especially compared to US prices). But hands down the best food I have had.

I came in the middle of the day and so I saw several families including young children so I think this would be a fine place for the whole family. It has a small menu but diverse for it size. The setting was interesting and not too loud.

I highly recommend this place.

This place was suggested by our tour guide and they did not disappoint. Very flavorful and delicious. You can taste the fresh flavors of the spices and the effort put into making each dish we ordered. It was so good I couldn’t finish.

PRO'S: Fonda Lo Que Hay ( "What's Up" in English) is a tasty Panamaian restaurant. My wife enjoyed the sea bass fillet, me the LQH fried chicken, both outstanding along with Spanish Rose'. The food & wine menu is limited but excellent quality for the price.
CON'S: Use taxi's. There is no parking in the old city area. Casual, sometimes slow service is the norm. Relax and enjoy.
SUMMARY: Fonda Lo Que Hay is a fine Panamaian dining experience. We recommend.

Flavourful and interesting dishes. Good ambience and attentive service.
Food is based on Panamanian flavours but somehow modernised.

The food and drinks here are a cosmopolitan mix of local dishes and world cuisine. Every single bite was unique and delicious, and the presentation and atmosphere showcased the many flavors brilliantly.

This might go down as one of my greatest culinary experiences of all time. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cocktails were so damn delicious, but the food. I was literally smiling while eating the Octopus Ceviche and then the Fried Chicken…..Sweet Baby Jesus! It is phenomenal. I will be coming back to Panama again and again if for no other reason than to gorge myself on their delicious food and drink. Sommelier perfectly paired everything I ordered too! This might be top ten in the world for me.

Beautiful meal here sat out on the back patio. I ate the vegetarian mushroom bowl with coconut rice and it was the most flavourful plate of food I have had in a while. My boyfriend had belly pork porridge which was also lovely. Would highly recommend if in the old town

Lo Que Hay stands out as one of my top dining experiences in Panama City. The restaraunt is nestled and tucked away in the active area of Casco Viejo and is a great place to stop by when hungry for a bite in the area. Their menu offers a range of unique local fusion dishes and local beers; all within a vibrant, hip setting- great especially for young people on a night out in the city.

The food, drinks, and service here were very good! I think my main mistake was going alone rather than with a group - there were other dishes that it would have been great to try/share but it was a good experience nonetheless!

Fantastic dinner! Each dish was better than the next. The roasted whole fish (sea bass) was so full of flavor. Then the pork tamal was incredible. A great meal on the patio with great atmosphere and service. Don't miss out! (Go earlier for less of a wait)
