這個建築古蹟十分特別，因為目前還有部分居民在那附近居住，因此如果不是在拍照時暫停腳步，仔細看了景點說明的牌子，可能就會呼攏過去了。
它的特色，主要是在這個圍牆式的建築，係屬於Panama城市防禦工事的陸基之一。
歷史上有名的「虎爪」(tigeras hand)堡壘，其中一部分，就是這個遺留下來的圍牆建築。
走過這個地方，真的完全感覺不出來它在歷史上所發揮的防禦作用，或許是因為它已經毀壞，只剩下廢墟；或許是，當地人依然在此營生，已經平凡得沒有煙硝味了。
