I absolutely loved my stay at Cerrito Eco Lodge. So peaceful and quiet. So clean and comfortable. Staff so friendly and helpful. Owners Cynthia and Hiddo always on property and constantly checking in with me. I felt like I had been there forever and then had to leave too soon! I am happy to give 5 stars and highly recommend.
Thanks so much.

We had an awesome time here! The owners and staff are super nice and friendly. They take care of you to the fullest and couldn’t be more nice. I highly recommend. And don’t forget to try the pizza, it’s homemade and was absolutely amazing!

Beautiful and restful place, bird song and flowers around in the gardens, great breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. The owners Hiddo and Cynthia, and Paola, made us feel at home. Don’t forget to order Cynthia’s homemade pizzas- absolutely delicious! Lovely dipping pool and terrace to relax after a hot day on the beach! Only 10 minutes walk to local beaches and restaurants.
We look forward to returning again one day! Highly recommended!

This was our first time to the island and we were traveling with my mobility limited mother. The hotel was very accommodating and helped us get our snorkel tour, beach spot and walking tour set up. They helped us call cabs when we needed it and overall it was hands down our best days to date in Panamá. The views from the hotel are beautiful day and night. We are all looking forward to visiting again.

the place was a dream-- had stayed here back in 2011 and came back in 2022 and it was just as lovely if not more! The room was great, the breakfast amazing and the facilities have everything one could want. Amazing view and a bit of a hike to get there but so worth it. Would definetly recommend and come back!

There are not enough stars for how highly we’d like to rate this place. Staying here was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as a family. From the first phone call, Cynthia put me at ease regarding check in concerns and questions about the island. Because we had a baby with us she helped us arrange transportation to cerrito tropical. She also got us a pack and play and let us check in early so our daughter could nap which was the whole reason we were able to make it to toboga. Cynthia helped us arrange the most epic boat ride around the island where we got to follow dolphins through the ocean!!! It was so cool!!!!! She arranged massages for us at the eco lodge and told us about cool local beaches as well. When we ordered food, Cynthia made sure everything was cooked to perfection and she spent time getting to know our family, and connecting with our baby. Also the breakfast here with the pineapple jelly was literally the best thing I ate the whole time we were in Panama. Overall, at every turn, Cynthia went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional.

Their restaurant Calaloo Beach fishbar & grill was also delicious!!!!! We had one of our favorite dinners ever as a family there and got the lobster and shrimp!! So good!!!!! Seriously. They treated us like royalty and made us feel so at home.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, look no further and just come here. Such a great place!

We stayed here when we decided at the last minute to spend a night at Toboga while visiting Panama City. We chose it because it had a two room suite available that suited our family. The two room sweet was on the top floor and had an excellent view of the ocean. Cynthia, the owner, was very kind and accommodating, doing everything she could to make our short stay wonderful. We look forward to visiting again when we have more time to partake of the many tours and activities they offer.

We loved this hotel! It was the last stop of our 10 day visit to Panama. Our hosts, Cynthia and Hiddo were very helpful. We upgraded to the suite and had a wonderful view of the bay. The plunge pool was very refreshing. We had Cynthia's awesome pizza one night, delish! Cold drinks were offered to us as soon as we checked in. Hiddo prepared a lovely breakfast for us on our last day. I highly recommend the Cerrito Tropical Eco Lodge.

We stayed here for 2 days and really enjoyed it! It is a tranquil island and most of the sound we heard were the birds singing in the surroundings. We've booked the Canopy room so we had a private bathroom. The room was clean and had a good bed in it. There was a small wardrobe with 4 drawers, a sink and in the (small) bathroom a toilet and a shower with cold water. This was nice and refreshing but just that you know there is no hot water. The staff is friendly and if you don't speak Spanish you can manage with English. When we were at the hotel we stayed at the porch. This is especially nice to watch the rain and thunderstorm which passed us. Breakfast was with tea/coffee, an omelette and some toast and was very tasteful. I could definitely stay here for more days if time did permit it.

I had an amazing stay at the Cerrito Tropical! We got to stay in one of the little apartments (fully equipped kitchen, living space, AC'ed bedroom with en-suite bathroom). It was extremely comfortable and in a great location to the rest of the island.
Cynthia was very accommodating and her staff was friendly and respectful. We were helped with directions, where to catch the ferry to the island and with things to do on the island.
The view is absolutely beautiful and the pace of the island slow. It was a much-welcomed change of pace from the city and was very accessable.

I've heard most people only do day trips to Taboga Island... But I would highly recommend that you take the time to experience the island for a bit more time. Really relax and take it all in; and the Cerrito Tropical is just the place to do that.

Great location for staying when visiting Taboga, away from noisy bars closer to the pier, with great views of the sea and next to the island rainforest. You can eat at the lodge or next to the beach at Calaloo

Dog friendly!🐕

An EXCELLENT small- medium sized family owned and run B&B Hotel. Over the last several years, I have had many wonderful stays here. Whether it was just a few days, or 6 weeks, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stays here. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, & the views are marvelous. When you visit the island, you must also eat at CALALOO Beach Fishbar & Grill.

I have a very comfy bed, nice air conditioner if I want to freeze to death 😂 my bed linen smell wonderfully clean my room is clean beautiful thick tile, cute little bathroom, everything a person could want.
Nice little balcony to look over the ocean and see all of those ships waiting to get into the canal. Also a couple of hammocks to swing in and catch the awesome Tradewinds as they blow.
This will from now on, be my go-to place, when I come to taboga.

My partner and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting Taboga island. The proprietors, Hiddo and Cynthia are lovely! Very accommodating, excellent knowledge of the island, and they run a delicious restaurant down by the beach as well that we went to dinner at every night. If we needed anything beyond the basics, they were always willing to work something out with enough heads up.

This is not a luxury resort experience, but it is a lovely and affordable place to take in Taboga. The rooms were totally fine, A/C was perfectly cold, shower was fine but no great shakes, but if you're staying at an eco lodge and expecting more, that's on you - this delivers as a fantastic eco lodge!

Breakfasts were SO tasty! The pool is teeny tiny and very chilly, which was perfect for the hot days. The hammocks are wonderful places to relax or nap.

Great place, great people, highly recommended!

This is a very calm place where you can relax while enjoying the view and the nature.
People are very polite.
The suites are ver confortable with hot and cold water. There is a porch where you can hang out.
The methods for payments are with cash, credit or debit card.
Before coming here you need to do the reservation either online or by calling the lodge.
